Custom Paint Job for a US Hot Rod

There is a problem with the transmission hydraulic pump, because its a heavy duty Chevy transmission a replacement part has to be   ordered from  the US.  So its first run has been postponed for a few days.

Good luck on trying to get it registered. That will make an interesting story.

I think the process has started, when I find out more will post it

Stunning. Congratulations to all who took part in this fantastic project. Like the dog too.

Great story so far, really hope you can get it registered with minimal fuss

Would be interesting to see photos of the car getting inspected at the Transportation office. They have a big scale you drive on so they can weigh the car. They also look for a vin number and engine number. I remember having my 65 Oldsmobile inspected at the transportation office here in Korat. A lot of the workers came over to see the car and ask questions. Same thing should happen when he takes this hot rod in.

A couple of inside shots, the car is automatic so I guess the old style gear shift lever acts as a selector.

The two piece windscreen will be replaced with a one piece when it arrives

Can you post more details about the registration process ?    I thought it was now "impossible" to register imported cars

maybe this one was imported before the new rules and had some required documents ???

And for those who don't know what a 383 Chevy is, it's a 6.3 litre V8...????

Thanks for that @transam. When I first read it, I said to myself, "he must mean 283". But not to challenge a moderator, I decided to take a pass.

Talk of a  265, 283, 327, 396 or 454 and I'm good +. So there's a new one for me, 383/6.3.

Like all things in LOS - and the world - if you "know" someone anything can be achieved.

Yes, but Chevy have a 383ci small block that is not a stroker, called ZZ383, 100% new block and crank to provide 383ci. It is 425hp out of the box...
