Yeah, since when has Thailand worried itself about human rights? They have signed lots of treaties on the subject, but singularly fail to deliver. One quick look at the prison system here shows blatan

  • Where do you come up with the idea you have any human rights?  Just because you grace the world with your presence.  If you are a citizen of a country you have whatever "rights" that the government be

Well, if you think your human rights are infringed - good luck trying to convince Thai Immigration that it is so!

Human Rights - wow has to be a troll.

Whenever I feel bad I read Thai Visa because some funny guys exist like NCC1701A (LMAO funny man).????????????????

Some real miserable sickos that post hate, misery, arrogance, doom, racism, superiority and the chicken little dramas because Thais have a different culture that the western world you left  ????

Also some guys like Udonjoe and BritTim and Jack Thompson and others provide valuable advice. ????

My only hope is that the new requirements get some of you moaners to move on and when you do please spread your misery in your new country’s forum.  Please leave the happy Thailand expats alone. ????

For the married guys that claim they have to leave then switch to the marriage extension as nothing has changed with that extension.  So stop saying Thailand wants expats to leave their wives and kids in the rice fields.  That is ridiculous. ????

If there was a way to trivialize the meaning of the words "human rights," this thread is it.

May I ask what grandfathering means?

Google just could be your friend!!??

"Human Rights" is only acknowledged in the West.

I've been coming to and fro to Thailand for over thirty years including living here for about fifteen of them.

Ever since I first set foot in Thailand it was obvious that Human Rights were up there with Health and Safety in Thai priorities!

You would need to be human to bother about human rights, that sure doesn't apply

here in Thailand.

And you can't be on a retirement extension when you don't comply with the rules!

I live longtime legally in Thailand, and I do not always comply with the rules, I might not agree with them.

Same applies to when I lived in the UK.
