They ARE so rude its as simple as that and the traditional visitors of the past are dwindling to a trickle.

They've been saying that since the '70s.

 

Still, can't help but feel there's a little bit of poetic justice going on...  Thrash the resource without investing in maintaining it and sooner or later that goose quits laying golden eggs.  And you still have to deal with goose crap.

I know what ya mean, some of those Eastern European wives are a bit rough.

I'd say the Thais got what they deserved. Serves them right for not taking care of us long term residents.

Thailand and Pattaya is no different to the rest of the world with complaints about misbehaving and unruly tourists, With 44 million tourists streaming into this country every year, some are bound to be rude, obnoxious and lacking basic manners thinking that as a tourist they're entitled to behave badly...

The thing is most Thais don't benefit from the Chinese and Indians so eventually this was bound to happen

Pattaya has a definite smell about it now...may be from soiled unclean crotches...????

Complain to Prayuth, and the TAT. It was their idea to become totally dependent on India and China, for tourism. It was a disastrous move, an inane idea, and has decimated the tourism industry, cost hundreds of thousands of people their jobs, if not millions, and reduced the earnings of those that remain in the industry drastically. In the long run, discouraging Western tourism, and not paying any regard, or showing any respect toward the ex-pat community, will go down in history as one of the greatest mistakes of this generation of incompetent fools and nitwits.
