Pretty damn good job. Great thing is that, unlike some other countries, many of Thailand’s doctors spent some years in the U.S., Canada, or Europe to attend and graduate from the best medical schools, and then returned to Thailand to practice medicine.

I had need of a G.P. and a Podiatrist specialist at McCormick hospital in Chiang Mai back in 2013.

They had both been taught in the west and I was more than pleased with their English fluency and level of care and medical expertise at very very reasonable inexpensive cost for treatment.

That’s why they say that if you’re in Cambodia or Indonesia or Malaysia or Laos and you get very sick or badly injured...get your ass to Thailand or Singapore where the doctors are trained to a much higher level and the hospitals have more modern equipment also.

thai doctor seldom attend medical schools overseas, rather they obtain post graduate residency training in usa hospitals etc etc. more use to go but the usa began an additional clinical skills exam that very much tests command of the english language. this is in addition to other english tests taken. fellowships after completing "in thailand residency" is much less difficult to enter in germany as they do not require applicants to repeat entrance exams.

nationals from india continue to place well in usa programs

Superb job done, but like others I wonder what the guy was thinking "will it blend?" ????

Reminded me of this:-

Bill worked in a pickle factory. He had been employed there for a number of years when he came home one day to confess to his wife that he had a terrible compulsion. He had an urge to stick his penis into the pickle slicer.

His wife suggested that he should see a sex therapist to talk about it, but Bill indicated that he'd be too embarrassed. He vowed to overcome the compulsion on his own.

One day a few weeks later, Bill came home absolutely ashen. His wife could see at once that something was seriously wrong. "What's wrong, Bill?" she asked. "Do you remember that I told you how I had this tremendous urge to put my penis into the pickle slicer?" "Oh, Bill, you didn't." "Yes, I did." "My God, Bill, what happened?" "I got fired." "No, Bill. I mean, what happened with the pickle slicer?" "Oh...she got fired too."

Or the guy who lost a finger in a press at work and when his mate went to tell his wife who exclaimed 'his whole finger?'

He replied 'don't worry, it was the one next to it'

I guess the liquidiser was a commercial type machine and not one you would buy from Big C or Lotus.

Will be interesting to see how functional the hand is in the future. A lot of severed tendons in there.

That's what surgeons supposed to do, no?

yes and if you can keep a secret i'll tell you that the hand anatomy is essentially the same throughout the entire world so putting it back together is also the same though some impoverished facilities lack the equipment.
