After several months of scouring the dating sites as a 50 ish farang male overweight , balding and not rich, it seems the only thing I can pull in Thailand are hookers ,ex hookers or divorcees looking for a lunch ticket . I was hoping to find something a bit better than that . Can anyone point me and other like me in a better direction ? or is that my lot ?

interesting topic. I used one called **D** (fill in blanks) and when my profile was in English, that's pretty much what I found, not all , but yes pretty much. when I did a new profile in Thai, I got less right swipes, but still mainly what I got before, however was still fun though, try meeting some who are 'up country' rather than stating their location as 'Cholburi'.

I met my wife on Thai love links, never even had a boyfriend before, school teacher.

Yes from the north east, married 8 years , has never asked me for one baht.

A genuine honest caring lady, went on a dating site to meet a farang because she was not interested in local Thai men.

Now before i get shot down by members saying she was lying to me, she wasnt, she has 2  sisters, both never had boyfriends, 1 is 54, the other 46,perfectly happy being single.

Yeh about 10 years ago I lived in BKK and went on 100-200 dates with various Thai women from TLL.

Quite a few were just dinner dates I hasten to add!

Only one told me that she usually charged 10,000 for a night of her company!

The rest were just normal women with normal jobs, some in fact were wealthy in their own rights.

Even now I still keep in contact with a couple of them & I regret letting a few slip through the net.

Those were the days. Definitely don't be a 'gentleman' and pay. I stuck with equality, though I would put in a fair amount of effort I'd always make sure my dates had to put in some effort to meet me.

 

I guess that filtered out 98% 'yes, I'd like to see you - you come to me'. I ended up with a good one, and met only one or two bad ones mostly because they didn't believe what I'd already talked with them about online. One drove from Chachoengsao to Ramkhamheang, got out of her car, and said 'ok, let's agree a price'. I told her 5000 for dinner, cash up front - but she wouldn't pay.

Indeed. Set your sights a bit lower by going for the old and unattractive ones and money might not be a factor.

I am currently conducting a long term multi year research project on this very question. I plan to publish my findings right here on TV for peer review.  

Obviously it's possible that non hookers and on those sites.

But how many of them will search for old, fat and poor guys? I guess not too many.

 

Let's face reality: Women won't want you because you are old, fat and poor. Best case they like or even love you and accept all that.

I think for many of us online dating does not make any sense. Because we don't have the right properties for online dating.

 

But offline if a different scenario. Maybe you are funny, honest, etc. and probably some women will like you. And if they like you enough and if they are realistic then maybe they know they have to accept that you are not the youngest anymore and maybe a little overweight, etc.

You have to shine with your personality - and that won't happen online. So forget about online dating!

Because many old and ugly women don't think that they are old and ugly. 

And if they finally realize that they are old and ugly because they can get one date when others get ten then they want to make in one date as much as others in ten. Enjoy!

Why not give the lady boys a go? they are often better looking, more intelligent and don't moan as much.

That sounds about right.  No under-30 educated hottie from a good family is going to be the least bit interested in you.  Just accept that and boom boom the hookers until you're bone dry.

      I played and enjoyed thai dating sites , for many years, i still take a gander.

       A very large % of the ladies i met were in, or from the trade,

           It  was indeed a  learning curve. 555

 

 

Lose some weight,buy a wig and win the lottery,thats the
