Man, 72, killed by electrocution while fixing roof

PHUKET: A 72-year-old man died after being electrocuted by an exposed power wire while fixing his roof in Pa Khlok.

 

Capt Sophanat Nayao of the Thalang Police was called to the home, in Moo 4 Pa Khlok, at at 5:50pm on Saturday (July 20).

 

Police and rescue workers arrived to find the body of 72-year-old Saem Intharat on on portable bed at the humble abode.

Poor bugger,most likely just had the bare wires push into the extension

 the method most workers here use,for the cost of a plug,you lose your

life.

RIP that man.  See this sort of thing all the time in the Village's, bare wires 'plugged in', sometimes even in a house with small kids running around.    Quite frankly it's a wonder more are not being killed on a daily basis.

Oh com ‘on why would anyone push bare wires into an extension?

 

are you saying that the local village folk are not well-grounded in safety protocol?

The good thing is the person pointing at the wire to identify it did not get electrocuted also.
