It should be mentioned that the £39B settlement is in fact NOT the total bill. This is often completely ignored in discussions like This. In addition to the lump sum payment of £39B, May's agreement clearly outlines that the UK are financially liable for any cost related to projects and programmes agreed before the exit date (Article 144). On March 31st each year, the EU will send the UK a new bill. In theory, the final cost for leaving the EU on those terms is impossible to specify, but the number is likely to be bigger than £39B. In theory it could be twice as high - £78B.

Who " leaked" that now again ..…? As it was agreed to kept secret by both party's until after Brexit ...to avoid problems in the U.K. ????....????

Must be Boris's doing ….5555 lol

I remember the H.O.C. almost had to drag Gov. Lawyer Cox to come to H.O.C. to clear up some of those ….and he was quit honest about it in his answers …..making the May Gov. not happy

Then the EU must accept tariffs on their 69 billion annual trade surplus.

It's NEVER a country not an Union of countries, who has to pay the import duty, but the importing companies.

And when the importing companies in the UK hardly have alternativers for thir overseas goods, but the importing companies into the EU of UK goods have... then even a normal child can understand what happens then...

The blonde BS BJ doesn't even know what is talking about.
I am very positive to a no deal Brexit, as i would really enjoy to see Brexiters try to blame something else instead of themselves once UK economy will be on its knees!

There really are some odious ideologically possessed creatures in control of the EU.

They will do anything to keep the dream alive, including risking lives and businesses.

What.."in control"?

Tusk is only president of teh EU council, with as members he leaders of governments of the EU member states. His successor will be Michel, present head ov gov. from Belgium.

Just as Juncker ( and successor CVon der Leyen)  is the by the council appointed president of teh EU committee, a kind of ministers, from each EU member state one. Have to do, what the council orders.

Learn something about the organisation of the EU.
