AOT to consider closing Hat Yai, Chiang Rai airports

Chamber of Commerce urges govt to negotiate with US before GSP suspension takes effect

PHUKET: The charity run led by Thai rock celebrity and now running sensation Artiwara “Toon Bodyslam” Kongmalai held over the weekend has so far raised more than B36 million for five public hospitals in southern Thailand, including Vachira Phuket Hospital in Phuket Town.

PHUKET: A man and a woman were left pinned inside the pickup truck they were travelling in to deliver fresh meat to Phuket Town early yesterday morning (Oct 27) after the pickup slammed into a roadside power pole.

Parents, teachers and students protest sacking of school director

Teachers, present and former students and parents gathered at Bangkok Christian College today to protest the suspension of former school director Supakit Jitklongsap who they say was dismissed unfairly. They vowed to continue their protest until such time as the present director of the school and the Church of Christ in Thailand clarified the issue. The demonstrators held signs demanding the removal of the present director, further raising the tension.
