Looks pukka. Seen a couple running around the Pattaya area. I think the entry level price is about Thb 3.5 Million.

The bigger engined ones must drink fuel like you are flushing a toilet.....555

For 500,000 baht you can buy this one ( it's not a Ford Mustang :cheesy: , but it has the same color yellow )

It is a real one. I love the looks, though doubt it handles well. That kind of money buys a lot of other nice wheels so I wonder why Thais are buying the Mustang?.... Ah, IMAGE.

There is a 2019 5.0 GT for sale on one2car for Bt.4,059,000.

The ad you link to does not say, or suggest, that it may be a "dodgy import", it actually says it is an official import.

Europe pricing , it is only Toyota GT86 ,not the more expensive Toyota Supra who is much more pricing higher

(euro pricing was so before the downfall....hence now probably much more by the low exchange euro to Thai "Kevlar"bullet proof  baht)

This is a thread about Thailand so what has European pricing got to do with buying them in Thailand?  By the way, I do know what the cars you showed are, and one of them is a Subaru.

I do not see 4.8mill ($160kUS) anywhere a reasonable price considering they are about $42k in the USA. Would rather get into a Merc or BMW better cars and way cheaper.

Bit of an increase in price since I bought - 64 1/2 convertible was my first car at $3.400.  The only cars that passed me on the Autobahn in 67/68 were those Merc and BMW drivers (and the occasional Porsche police vehicle).  Amazing how much it looks the same.

Your Q was already answered, but I just want to comment: There seems to be many western people thinking there cannot be wealthy Thais who desires both expensive American cars and motorbikes plus some much more expensive European vehicles. In Phuket a Thai has 20-30 Harleys plus a few old Indians. In the garage he packs 20 or more Porches and Ferraris.

In Bangkok a celebrity surgeon flashes his Lambo and several of his staff drive Ferrari, Porsche and other luxury cars.

Major European luxury car brands have outlets in Thailand.

Rich Thais just don’t hang out in bars and don’t live in the villages up in North East. They have their huge villas with extra houses for their house staff in the garden and walls around. Oh: And security guards.

They buy it for the same reason as many western people: Because they can, because they feel they are worth it etc.

Yuk.

I owned a 67 convertible for well over a decade....loved that car. Candy apple red with automatic white top. A/C and Ford rims. I bet it's worth close to 50k now. Who knows, more...

55 VW

65 VW

67 VW

69 VW

Missed out on the 52-53 VW split window beetle. Even then too rare and expensive for HS kid.

I drove a GT convertible for 8 years.  It was extremely reliable and never broke down.  Before that, I had a Porsche 944 that was in the shop every couple months and always cost a fortune to repair.

Not registered, so no green book.... for 4 million baht I'd kinda want it to come with a book.

Not really. The car have license plate and done 6,100 km so it must have been registered at some point.

What did you google translate?

This is the car, right?

Thats the vehicle.

A friend purchased a 2016 Camaro, it too had white plates.... it was dodgy and no import tax was paid.

I recall reading an article recently about available 708 HP direct from Ford factory (North American article). This would be really useful for getting from one traffic light to the next in Bangkok rush hour traffic !

would be fun out on the 7 motorway but am sure it would be fine in BKK traffic if the driver can moderate his/her right foot.

We used to call that "every light's a drag" (drag strip).

Because he can't afford one.

I would say maybe yes but that may not be the correct answer so I will have a stab

I'm currently staying with Relo's & the women has one (yes nice looking car )

It has all the mod cons & cost $100,000 AUD

Been in it once as a passenger in the back - This bit is where I wouldn't pay that sort of money for one

2 door where you have to be 5 1/2 ft max to sit in the back so you don't hit your head on the roof
