She was given first aid at the scene before being taken to Bang Lamung Hospital.

Benjamas, 25, said she and her colleague from the karaoke lounge had gone to the house with three Korean men.

They had been drinking and celebrating - when she turned round she noticed her friend had fallen.

Just another unfortunate victim of the lack of building regulations and good construction practice which allows no or too low barriers around drops, balconies, or swimming pools.

Same low safety standards in road construction and engineering, all designed to maximise profit at the expense of the population who have to suffer the consequences.

If the above picture is of the actual pool surround with that drop it is insane...or was she standing on top of the wall as that guy appears to be doing?

I was always told "break a leg" at a great pool party ?

It is obvious that a guard rail is required.

This could be one of those party houses available for a weekend rent.  There's one on my quiet residential mooban which causes lots of disturbance to near neighbours.

This should be the statutory penalty for ALL karaoke participants howling tunelessly. Karaoke- otherwise defined as 'a drunk murdering a song'.

This is why Thailand remains cheap. Lack of regs, enforcement. Will to do the right thing.

Broken sidewalks, shower heaters shorting, etc list endless.

Breaking your leg is bad but doing it with Koreans... well enough said.

certainly worthwhile news, wait until the rest of the world finds out.  markets will fall. much like the Karaoke girl
