Louder were Doobie Brothers at Autzen Stadium (DBros before they had an album out). Popped an ear drum of lady I was with.

Other was punk band Bow Wow Wow at small club. Stuffing cig filters in ears to try to make it tolerable.

Me? I'll take some loud Hendrix. As Townsend wrote "He had grace and power".

Love the ballads that start off quiet and then ROAR to life!

Here's a good one - Whitesnake's best with David Coverdale (he was Deep Purple's lead singer from 1976-1984)  I love the guitar in this one.  I used to drink in the strip clubs in Honolulu back when this song came out and the strippers would always play this one (LOUD) ... Saigon Passion, Exotic Nights and many other great strip clubs. My first Thai girlfriend was a stripper that I met in Saigon passion FOND, FOND MEMORIES FOR SURE!!
