Popular Post Rimmer Posted December 6, 2019 Popular Post Posted December 6, 2019 Launch boat catches fire during International Fireworks Show The fireworks got out of control on one of the launch boats, with a fire that required emergency personnel to extinguish. Sparks from the falling pyrotechnics onto fuel supplies are believed to have set off the blaze on the barge from which the display for the International Fireworks Show were launched in Pattaya Bay Dec. 1. Fireboats responded quickly and the fire was quickly extinguished. No one was injured and the boat sustained minimal damage. -- PATTAYA MAIL 2019-12-6-- 3 "Smoke me a kipper, I'll be back for breakfast!" Popular Post torturedsole Posted December 6, 2019 Popular Post Posted December 6, 2019 I don't know which is the lesser evil - staying on board the stricken vessel or diving into the sewer that is Pattaya Bay. Tricky one. 1 2

natway09 Posted December 6, 2019 Posted December 6, 2019 You do not use a boat for fireworks. You use a special barge 2
Popular Post Basil B Posted December 6, 2019 Popular Post Posted December 6, 2019 The more intelligent option would have been to use a steel barge, none combustible and no fuel. Bet there again that would not stop them sinking it if they placed the rockets upside down... ???? 4

brianthainess Posted December 6, 2019 Posted December 6, 2019 We are going out in a boat to let off some big fireworks, make sure to put plenty of fuel on the deck.
sunnyboy2018 Posted December 6, 2019 Posted December 6, 2019 About two years ago at the same fireworks competition a similar thing happened. Anybody remember it? I think the English won that year.

mikebell Posted December 6, 2019 Posted December 6, 2019 It's 'cos they used plastic cartons to launch the rockets and not proper milk bottles. 1
