We have had to resort to the FIL's method that he has done all of his life: he burn logs outside the house. A bit smokey and not all that pleasant when a wind is blowing.

So you all kip outside then is it? Will have to try that one. Good old Phil.

My fireplace is active all day long lately, we are going to burn a ton of wood this year. But the upside is that we are saving some baht on gas because my wife makes a lot of meals on it.

I had to build it myself though. The villagers are quite impressed, like I invented the concept of a chimney. Many of them burn fires in their huts but they just let them fill with smoke.

Great!????
That's what I forgot when designing my house in Thailand, not for the heating, but for having a chimney and entrance way down for Santa – my little daughter was so disappointed over the new home...????

leave a window open Xmas eve, and be inventive with your story telling.

Or tell her the truth ouch ! just kidding. ???? ho ho ho.

Thanks, we however solve it, the gifts showed up, and when I checked the CCTV security camera I saw this (and yes, it IS my house and my Xmas tree)...????????
