Yingluck was charged with mishandling of the rice scheme; not scam or corruption. The seizure of her assets was from an executive order by Prayut and not a court verdict. It smell of a political agenda and big hypocrisy when Prayut has the same rice scheme and the NACC remain silent. Remember it was the crony NACC who was in the vanguard of her charges. What chances do she have with such insurmountable and coordinated effort to nail her and justify the coup.

We have seen from the election they will go to any and every length to stay in power.

You don't have to support the current government, the military or any other organizations to admit that the Shins are corrupt, through and through, and were robbing the county blind. Wrong. She was removed by a court for an abuse of power prior to the coup that removed the PTP regime.

Her brother and his mates hung her out to dry, and didn't watch her back as they were too busy robbing the country's coffers. 

 

She went along with everything, lied as instructed, was videoed laughing after a public tearful presentation on more than once occasion. 

 

She's a very very rich person living a vert privileged life. Many poor people suffered because of her and her family. Zero sympathy.

Which governments in Thailand elected or military are not corrupted and robbed the country blind. Then asked how many have been charged and exiled. If there is any semblance of Hun Sen, surely it has to be Prayut. Bottom line the Shins may be corrupt but they also have been targeted for a whole lot of difference reasons; big boys included.

The Shins got targeted because the patriarch became to greedy and wanted it all for himself and his family; didn't want to share or follow what the others all accepted.

 

Their kleptocracy model is a text book example.

Shooting of your mouth again BB. The basic principal of rice schemes of Yingluck and Prayut is the same - buy the rice above market value and provides financial incentives to farmers to keep their grain in storage.

So what Eric, unlike the FFW they were certainly guilty of their crimes. I would not call it political, I would call what happens to Thanathorn political.

Why so hard to get through to you. The only charge leveled against her was her mishandling of the rice scheme. Your speculation of corruption without court conviction is just that; speculation. Her commerce minister was convicted for corruption and jailed and justifiable. You trying to link her to that corruption without proven in court is just malicious and self fulfilling. It’s all about politics and the junta is doing the same to FFF with bag loads of dirty political tricks. They will not be satisfied until Thanathorn do another runner like they did with the Shins.

Abuse of power sound menacing. What she did was the transfer of the NSC chief to another post. Quite unlike the soliciting favour from a foreign power by holding back military aid.
