The British police are well known for being very reluctant to use lethal force unless absolutely necessary.

 

But they have a right and a duty to protect themselves and the public and if lethal force is the only option, then so be it. I doubt if it is any different in Thailand.

 

I have little sympathy for the shooter, but I do wonder what triggered this dreadful event. My wife's son serves in the Army and is also based in Korak, although he's away on temporary duty right now. We might get to hear more from him later.

I think you will find the stories about wanting to start a war etc, have been made up, the same as the boss was having an affair with GF stories.

 

The guy only posted a couple of things on facebook before it got shutdown, the posts have been widely shown on TV news, none of the posts said anything about starting a war.

He was one of the copy cats when I first started watching this it reminded me of the movie "Rampage" which I've watch several times whilst staying in mining construction camp,as I watched I keep thinking somebody will do the copy cat thing.The similarities are chillingly uncanny.I also read a post that said he actually streamed the same movie on his Facebook page.If you watch the movie you will see what I mean.

why does the media pixelate fake guns out on lakorn shows and films on tv, but when it comes the the real thing they don't?

This tells us that Korat / Ratchasima is an island of prosperity in a sea "of poorer towns and villages.
