Ichitan Group founder Tan Passakornnatee informed through his Facebook page on Wednesday (March 25) that he will provide rooms and other services for medical personnel at his Eastin Tan Hotel in Chiang Mai province from April 1.

“The doctors and nurses have risked their lives for us, why should we not sacrifice something for them,” he said.

Tan’s post informed that he will provide 122 rooms, food, and laundering service free of charge for doctors, nurses, and other personnel in Chiang Mai. “They will not lose their time traveling, and can fully rest,” he said.

Well done that man ????  hopefully a few more of the super rich will follow suit.

good  man, free ichitan all  round............personally i think it tastes vile

Good show. I have been advocating the use of empty hotels in these times of need for a while. Far better than leaving them empty just so they can turn on heart shaped displays at night!

Nicely said.. this is what a true gesture looks like.

Smart move it may actually help some medical staff who don't live local and create some goodwill which could be useful when he is dealing with the authorities.

That photo mate, has been doing the rounds for at least 3 years now.

Perhaps he's caught in a time loop and can't break free.

I remember for two years in a row he was driving around CM in his Porsche during the water festival and everyone was like saying hellooo to him including me and my kids. He is a good guy but went quiet a time ago because the you know who attacked him for being unlicensed regarding switching his condos to a hotel status. Sort of a catch 22.

Oeps.... what happened here? Hotel was illegally build without any permits! I think I missed a big part of this story....................
