What do you dream of?

Featured Replies

As a young man, I dreamt of sex all the time – girls I knew, some I had never seen but had all the attributes. Occasionally, I’d wake up with the dream completed.

I have never dreamt of my former wife, or a long-term defacto I had in Australia.

Later on, I would dream of the workplace – usually arguing with one of my bosses about an equipment purchase or direction of investigation. The boss never had a face. While I was a manager myself for some years, I never dreamt of situations where I was managing people.

In these bad times, I now find myself dreaming of parents, friends and neighbors – some who are long dead, who I knew as a child. When I see them, I am an adult talking to them as if they are unchanged from my childhood.

Am I regressing to a simpler and happier time, as an escape from what is happening in the world today? What do you dream of?

  • This is a story to inspire you to reach for your dreams. Many years ago I knew a girl who came second in the Miss Brazil competition. Later that year she emigrated and was beset by a long period of ba

I'm telling you what I see in my dreams. If you don't want to believe me, your problem, not mine.

I dream that I'm in some place where nothing is quite what it seems. There are people around me who do crazy stuff and don't seem to know why, or to care. I wake up in a sweat and then realize that I was just dreaming about yesterday.

I dream of places I have never been to, and people I have never met. How does a brain do that?

I dream a lot of being back on the ward, but never happy and definitely not a simple time- more like nightmares.

I never used to dream of sex, but recently I have, though I never get to a happy ending.

I rarely remember my dreams, but the ones I do are usually barking.

Sometimes I wonder if the things I remember are reality or some dream I had.

I've been dreaming a lot about my parents & old friends, some of whom I haven't seen in 40+ years. They're very vivid dreams, almost as if I'm 'there'.

Me too, although I've never been much good at dreaming.

Since moving to Thailand, I've got over the sex.

Former lovers, gone as soon as I'm banging the new one.

Former children, gone as soon as I've created a new one.

As an insomniac I dream of dreaming.......

More prosaically I dream of a calm end ... in my bed while sleeping ; it would be great ...
What worries me a lot is how will my wife do if I become completely spoiled, if I lose my mind, my memory, the use of my senses, the impossibility of being able to write; become alzheimer ..
How will Sakon's IO react?
Will they send me back to France that I left 15 years ago and where I no longer have any ties; yes, a son who has an apartment too small to accommodate me.

In fact, when you are no longer yourself but a vegetable, I think that all this no longer matters ...

Today I had toast.

you do understand that there can be a decade long process that begins slowly... and there are many phases...

maybe make some directives now so that your wife doesn't ruin her life caring for you... the tough part is who makes the decision...

let me ask you this: At what % of loss of intellect do you want to relinquish power of your finances and life decisions? If you have 10% of your current IQ do you want to give up financial independence?

Cant remember any dreams for years. While awake I dream of winning the lotto.

I do not know how to answer these questions.
The best is to be direct.

We have been married for 15 years;
my wife has always been in charge of the family budget.
She knows how much I touch monthly;

She also knows that she cannot spend more than that each month.
the day I can no longer do anything, it is she and her children with whom relations are ..

They are my family; what to write more ..
well this day, she will take the helm.

Besides my pension, I have nothing;
the house, the pickup do not belong to me ...

Very noble, but how about freedom?

My father was not only unable to care for himself but he was so difficult, nobody could care for him... we paid for 24/7 care because we knew he wanted to remain in his own home... and that was not sustainable. His last 3 months were spent in a very nice nursing home which he would try and escape from...

Most nights I dream I am in a vast labyrinth of a building of some sort (different every time, factory, school, shopping centre etc) and I am looking for a toilet.

Every time I see a sign for a toilet I go in but it's always unusable. This can seem to take ages, but then I wake up and go for a pee. Fortunately :).
