Final outcome was almost painless, returned on the advised date and there was the passport with the 90 visa, op's,

One glitch, apparently on the 1st of June this year Norway introduced a new rule requireing all applicants to have travel health insurance valid in Norway for the minimum sum of 30,000.00 Euro's.

This girl did not have this as she had applied prior to that date and was not notified of the change. The first reaction was to cancel the visa, or she could return on another day with the due documents and collect the visa then.

In the end common sense prevailed and she was allowed to take her passport, complete with visa, on the understanding that if she arrived in Norway without said insurance she would be refused admission.

Throughout, the staff in the visa section were polite and as helpful as their rank would allow them to be. (We had to climb the ladder of authority to advoid another trip from Pattaya and and re-arranging flights etc).

The staff at the Norwegian visa section were an absolute delight, when compared to my experience at the UK visa application centre.

Thank's again to all who helped with my original plea for help :o
