LivinginKata Posted April 15, 2020 Posted April 15, 2020 WOW ..... so soon. Hope this one has a brain.
phuketrichard Posted April 15, 2020 Posted April 15, 2020 Governors are shuffled around every 18 months to 2 years and are appointed directly by the Thai Cabinet. There is speculation that some ministers in Bangkok had been unhappy with Phuket’s rising Covid-19 numbers and the handling of the island’s resources, and decided now would be a good time to make a change. https://thethaiger.com/news/phuket/new-phuket-governor-announced-old-governor-shunted-off-to-petchaburi 1 1
Tarukhtah Posted April 15, 2020 Posted April 15, 2020 Not the best moment for a change.... or maybe the BEST change for this moment? ???? 1
stevenl Posted April 15, 2020 Posted April 15, 2020 I think the guy was just following national policy, with slowly slowly more restrictive measures. I do think Bangla was closed too late.

Agusts Posted April 18, 2020 Posted April 18, 2020 A bit late to the show, but he can claim cleaning up Phuket, 1 case detected yesterday, 0 the day before, and they are trying hard to find a boogeyman with a virus, proactive search, door to door search, suspects close to positive patient search, you name it, no sign of the damn thing - should have come in Feb, loads of sick people then, sent home by doctors with antibiotics...!

Always denying any problem and when it is to late blaming others. 2 1
