  • Utterly pathetic. They love to be all tough and authoritarian when they’re dealing with simple problems or problems they don’t need to be getting involved with personally. Acting like they know everyt

Beside Thaksin, all "Yellows" are the loaded ones. They make their money with the sweat of the "Reds".

In 2019 The State spent over 70 billion Baht to to provide healthcare for around 6 million civil servants ( = 12,000 baht per head), whereas it spent 163 billion Baht on  [1] the Universal Health Care Scheme (where The UHC Scheme benefits those who are not covered by the civil servant welfare fund, or the Social Security Fund (SSF) or private health insurance) and also on [2] the SSF for 14 million workers, ( = 3,400 baht per head for 62 million people).

The UHC Scheme is a tweaked version of the 30-Baht-Scheme introduced by Thaksin in 2002.

--  In recent years, General Prayut has accused the UHC of being "a financial burden to the Government".

But nowhere as much of "a financial burden to the Government" as the military is to the Thai people.

I find it obscene that a so called peace loving Buddhist country allows the existence of so much military hardware, but as we all know it's not for protection from an outside threat as is always the reason given, and that any threat would be taken care of by an outsider anyway, it's there for the protection of the individuals raping the country for their own benefit...  But sadly it'll take an awful lot to change the situation....

Funny, but not a good metaphor.

Stones have no blood but rich folks do have money.

That said, it may be easier to get the blood than the money.

What about himself and his hidden billions?

Time to cancel the submarine orders from China and put the new express railway train-line on hold.

Rich or Not many people think twice about giving or donating via Governments etc because too many lazy get included.

does this include all the monks who have tons of gold salted away given by their followers ,some of them are still on the run and still hiding their gold stashes despite being told to come clean

I have to say this. If I had a great deal of money, now would be the time to do something to help their people!

I do not think they will, I have seen to much poverty here for a long time! I have 40 years knowledge of Thailand! I first came here in 1972 for a tough year during the war! Have seen no such efforts!

philanthropists are indeed a rarity in lOS .they wuold sooner run the poor down in their lambos and ferarris than share their wealth to the poor and hungry who are at rock bottom

in bkk they are many rich thais, just look at the cars around,so it will be interesting to see who put they hand in their  pocket just for helping

The Public Health Ministry has come up an exit strategy in which a Covid-19 safety certificate will be given to business owners who agree to strictly follow preventive measures and social-distancing tactics,

did he actually improve standards of living and lift many poor out of poverty? he bribed many at election time and he threw some cash at the poor via populist policies, but can you name any capital investment projects that he initiated which have had a beneficial long term effect in improving the stranded of living of a large number or previously poor thais?

Many of us notice that Thailan was a thriving nation uner Thaksin, it is only since that we see an ever wiening   ivie between rich an poor.
