Looking for ideas of what could be wrong...

Bought a 25" Hatari fan some years ago, never worked right took it back to Home Pro, so say replaced after the repair team looked at it, still the same, have taken it to 3 different repair places over the years  and so say has been fixed = still the same, it is like brand new maybe used 3 days in 5 years !!

So switch on works fine, but after 20 mins the motor casing is red hot = is so hot the fan draws the heat and blows it at you !!.....  next item is no matter what speed you set it the blades go round at same speed..

Any ideas please....  hate to throw away 2,500 baht.

Have and had a number of  Hatari fans, the oldest one is in trouble but still works + 17 years old use every week when grooming the dogs...  [have a total of 12 fans]

Go buy the same color & Model, keep the receipt, switch them and take it back for a refund !

You then end up with a nice new one.

This is a joke right? buy a new one.

The throwaway thinking, I have had some fans for 30 years,

repair, maintain, lubricate, they will last,if I can fix it will never

buy new one, that's what is wrong with the World today.

Thanks very helpful

Replaced that fan years ago, just trying to find out why a fan or if the replacement was ifact another new one has the same problem. when you spend 2,500 + baht you expect it to work more than 20 mins... I put a piece of paper on the casing and it caught fire, so very dangerous

It is not the 1st time buying from Home Pro, normally the replacement works just fine.

just as a note if you get a replacement here it appear is normal you do not get a warranty on the replacement..

That depends on what it is and where you bought it.
