District officials in Lampang in northern Thailand reacted after a man called Natthapong, 29, scared a gun group on Facebook with a post that he intended to go down in history with his .38 gun.

Natthapong was called in by the Mae Prik district office to explain himself at the Damrongtham watchdog center.

But he got upset when after a body search failed to find any weapon officials checked his motorbike and discovered a .38 pen gun.

Natthapong started waving his weapon around prompting the council workers to call the police.

The Mae Prik constabulary surrounded the area and after two hours managed to get the suspect in custody.

He has been charged with weapons violations and no one has posted bail.

procedure:

1) search for gun

2) give gun to owner so he can wave it around
