I find your post odd.

It's in the vein of regarding 45 as just another president with normal pros and cons as any president.

No!

There is nothing normal about this man and his presidency.

His rule has resulted in massive damage to both domestic American society and international relations.

Some may take generations to repair. Some may be permanent.

So you want something positive about him?

How about something like the trains are running on time?

He has probably being trying to defund what little assistance Amtrak may still get to try build that stupid wall of his.  Or at least defund whatever gov't agency oversees and regulates them.  So sadly no, not even that.

The only thing that has caused massive damage to American society is the orgy of mayhem, burning, vandalism and destruction perpetrated by the Antifa far left activists who have hijacked legitimate protests.

Anyone who supports Antifa vandalism needs to look in the mirror when they talk about "damage".

He should.

But he won't.

If he loses he goes to prison.

He won't leave voluntarily if he loses. He has nothing to lose by trying to hang on. He's already set it up to label the election rigged.

He's obviously grooming some generals to fight for him.

People in the world looking for a model for democracy have already learned not to look to the USA.

If he isn't somehow removed, this is the end of American democracy.

I not only blame him but all the complicit ones, his fans, almost all the elected republican officials most of whom know what a disaster he is but live in fear of his mean tweets.

This is truly sick. One bizarre demagogue taking down a once great country.

None of your statements could be argued with, except the one where he goes to prison. No doubt he has committed multiple felonies, including many instances of bank fraud, which is felonious. But, does the political will exist in the US to convict and sentence an ex-president to prison time? It has never been done before, and many argue it will never happen. I and many millions of others would love to see it happen. But would it? Could it? I have my doubts.

Understood.

But he would definitely be pursued that way and no longer have the protection of his high office which he has so outrageously defiled.

Pure propaganda.

Classic boogeyman deflecting.

Nothing to be taken seriously with that though of course the 45 bubble will eat it up.

Yes but that comment wasn't meant to be taken literally.

It was actually a cheeky historical allusion.

Perhaps Antifa aspires to right-wing significance?

"Terrorists inspired by Nationalist and Right Wing ideology have killed about 10 times as many people as Left Wing terrorists since 1992. "   https://www.forbes.com/sites/realspin/2017/08/21/which-ideology-has-inspired-the-most-murders-in-terrorist-attacks-on-u-s-soil/#9ec7b7c1e74d

Or maybe Trump supporters are looking for a scapegoat/boogyman?

Oh no the USA has been in chaos for many years now, how many advisers, department heads, secretaries of whatever have been churned through. ? Include all the staff attached to those appointments and dismissals,  as well who have been affected.

There has been no stability of governance long before this eruption of behaviours. Usually if a manger has churn of "top staff" of more than 5%, then it generally reflects on their ability to manage.

America has had its image tarnished overseas, for many years.

This current situation is the chaos of inequality, racism, social dislocation and fundamentalism of many colours and shades, and inept leadership.

Good to know we can all sleep peacefully knowing that we have such an alpha tiger for president!

So now, if he inspects something it is wrong, do you actually think a few looters sent him to a bunker.......? ????

Nothing to do with the populace then...?

Please explain what the role of the president should have been doing (leadership and governance comes to mind) in the years leading up to this, just over the past three years will do.

Was it not the "populace" which has emboldened and endorsed, through the electoral system, the ineptitude of the "leader"?

And the right proves you wrong:

"Three Nevada men with ties to a loose movement of right-wing extremists advocating the overthrow of the U.S. government have been arrested on terrorism-related charges in what authorities say was a conspiracy to spark violence during recent protests in Las Vegas...."

"More recently, they sought to capitalize on protests over the death of George Floyd, a black man who died in Minneapolis after a white officer pressed his knee into his neck for several minutes even after he stopped moving and pleading for air, prosecutors said."

"The three men were arrested Saturday on the way to a protest in downtown Las Vegas after filling gas cans at a parking lot and making Molotov cocktails in glass bottles, according to a copy of the criminal complaint obtained by The Associated Press."   https://www.yahoo.com/news/prosecutors-3-arrested-terrorism-charges-222506357.html

Can we expect the president to call for designating rightwing extremists as terrorist organisations? ????

The "coloured" guy (nice choice of words, totally instinctive and unplanned, I'm sure) stood no chance. The type of systemic change we're talking about here can not be pushed through from above. It has to come from below through recognition that a problem exists and a willingness to do something about it.

One could hope that this time around things actually are going to change but based on the number of core trump supporters I seriously doubt it.

For you from Fox, (more palatable)

"Federal prosecutors say the three white men with U.S. military experience are accused of conspiring to carry out a plan that began in April in conjunction with protests to reopen businesses closed due to the coronavirus pandemic and later sought to capitalize on protests over the death of a Minneapolis man in police custody.

They were infiltered by the FBI, kept under surveillance and arrested .
