In Korat they cost me 500/certificate and in the past I've needed 2 everytime I bought a new bike. One when I purchased it (red plates) and a new one a month or two later when I got the white plates. License to print money.

Be happy if the res.cert. was enough.

Here in the sticks in 2011 they treated me like a child wanting to buy and needing a guardian.

Needing all kind of stuff from my wife even the marriage certificate (no joke)!!!

Overall it was possible only after I had left the showroom in anger and they followed me.

thats  what concerns me stuff that is not really needed.....why need/show a marriage cert.....JUST to get a new car/truck.....what does being married mean to get one???

Looking back: it was seemingly a "replacement" for the res.cert.

A proof of address for the DLT.

The obvious: a res.cert. was not asked for.

Probably just ignorance of the dealer.

Now I have yellow book/pink card which is accepted at MY office.

on the back of a driving licence is ones address.....so why DO THEY NOT ACCEPT THIS as proof of where one lives??

hence my comment of just another money making machine....to rip people off !!!
