PHUKET:-- Southbound traffic on Thepkrasattri Rd was blocked for three hours earlier today (June 17) after an 18-wheeled truck overturned and spilled wood panels across the island’s busiest road.

Capt Thanom Thongpaen of the Tha Chatchai Police was called to the scene, a curve locally called “Suan Maphrao”, on Thepkrasattri Rd southbound, at 3:45pm.

Police together with Kusoldharm rescue workers and an emergency team from Thalang Hospital rushed to the scene to find a Songkhla- registered truck overturned.

So, just to be clear, the driver was driving his truck like a skate board!

So according to no 3, whilst conducting Watersports, you can fall or jump off a SKATEBOARD. And conversely, at no 4, whilst skateboarding you can fall or jump off a SURFBOARD.

Amazes me the accidents they have here. How do you manage to get one of them heavy flat trailers to flip upside down?

The truck driver, Suthat Thaweeburut, 40, suffered head injuries in the accident.... No worries, where there's no sense there's no feeling.

It seems the average Thai driver is in a contest as to who can cause the most carnage on the road

As for this drover having a head injury it may have knocked some sense into him

This is wipe out....

Wipe out? More like the meat in a truck sandwich. Whenever waiting at the lights I always have one eye on the mirror and a get out plan for exactly this reason.

Then an opportunistic car salesman ventured forth from the showroom to inquire if they would be interested in a new car.
