Wing 5 have announced that their beach of Ao Manao will reopen next Thursday, July 1st.

INN said the "Five Star" beach in Prachuap Khirikhan province is famous and well-regarded for cleanliness, delicious food and fair prices.

Visitors will have to check in using the Thai Chana app and all the now familiar anti-virus protocols will be in place.

The number of tourists will be limited to 500 staying at rooms in Wing 5 and 1,200 other visitors daily.

Hmmm!! one hopes my shortcut back to Wakor after a few evening beers might be on the cards again. We shall see!

The General will be happy, he must be missing all the money from the chair and umbrella rentals.

Where are the tourists coming from?  Borders open for Chinese? if not they can close up again.

Great news, assuming the sea is also 'open'. On the days I've been I've never seen 1,700 people there which is one of the reasons I like it. The beach chairs also cost the same for westerners as for Thai, and the soldier guys on the beach have always been very nice.

This beach is dead during the monsoon.  Millions of sand flies are waiting for you though!

Even before COVID during weekdays you could hardly see 100 lost souls.

so the 1700 limit will only come to application on weekends or when the

have masses of “medical” tourists that storm the beach.
