renewal of Thai driving licence

Greetings, my 5 year driving licences (Car and bike) are about to expire on July 11th, I have an alien ID card(pink one) and yellow book, do I still need the letter from immigration to say I reside here?

Shouldn't as you have PR and yellow book but different DLT offices may have different rules.

You'll need a medical certificate that's less than a month old as well.
