I once met a movie producer in a Pattaya bar and told him my idea for a tv series based on a Pattaya bar and each week it would deal with a different farang punter come to find the girl of his dreams.

Either he thought it wasn't worth while making or he wasn't really a movie producer, but it never happened. I still think there would be enough material for a series lasting years and years!

to find one I liked the look of, another week to negotiate the purchase price and contractual details through an interpreter, then married at the end of the 3rd week on an auspicious date (Valentines day).

but i can understand why the producer wasn't intersted, he was a Thai or a foreigner?

The bar scene isn't something you can show to the public (The face thing)

it's too ''low-so'' for being a popular sitcom in Thailand, and in the rest of

the world there is not enough people knowing Pattaya or interested by this special place.

In France for example only few movies have been done (Like Ladybar 1 and 2) with a very

little success and it was when the french were here in numbers, 10 years ago.

I suspect this was just a troll post, but generally speaking yes- you can easily find a Thai girl in her early 20's to date you if you're under 40 and decent looking. And I'm not talking about hookers. Just go online and talk to girls who actually speak (write) English and have a uni degree.

 

Don't expect to marry a bar girl and take her to Europe and she'll be happy about it. They usually miss home and miss their food and miss the bars. However, there are many normal girls who actively WANT to get out of Thailand and go abroad, so this will be a win-win for both of you and result in a much better relationship.

 

You can start now online and chat with them for a few months, but keep in mind that chatting and talking in real life are completely different things. She could be a sweetheart online and turn out you totally don't match in person. The best way is for you to visit Thailand (when you can) for at least a few months and go on actual dates until you find one where there is enough chemistry/love.

He was an American. I think he was telling the truth about being a producer.

I agree that an American audience would have been shocked at the idea of the Thai bar scene. However, my scenario would not have dealt with mongers per se, but with farangs coming to find a wife. It would have been centered around the bar, but in a sanitised for western audiences way. The emphasis would have been on the back stories eg Nok from Buriram grew up in poverty on a rice farm and goes to Pattaya to find a farang husband and infinite variations on the theme. Bar scene would have more partying than in reality and each week would have a Thai music dance routine- If you remember the Malibu show, it would be set in a Malibu show type barbeer, with the show going on in the background. I did meet said producer while watching the Malibu show at the bar.

LOL. The best looking bargirls gave up bars long ago and went on line. Uni degrees are easy to fake, and if a Thai girl speaks excellent English it's often a give away as to where she learned it.

Thai sandwiches are usually best when being discussed later. Reality is often less tasty.

However, there was a place off Sukhumvit that specialised in sandwiches that were really yummy.

I never went on line to meet the girl of my dreams, so it never came up. Personally, if a potential GF had boasted of her degree I'd have dumped her on the spot. Other than things like medicine and engineering, most degrees, IMO, are a waste of time. In nursing, those with degrees were never as good, IMO, as those that trained in hospital.

I am in quite a peculiar situation .

I speak quite often speak toto my Thai female friend on line by way of text

But when we meet in real life , we dont speak much .

Even when shes around my house sat next to me , I usually text her

Situational report:

Ive been thinking some things in my life, i have 2 options with women:

 

1. try to get a young philippine wife. get a online dating sites and chat to them,

try to arrange meeting, then fly there, meet those girls, allso can try to meet locals through tinder,

or talk to them face to face. maybe the online would be best, how the hell otherwise i could

dig those suitable girls from there, total luck needed.

Social class doesnt matter, only thing matters, is that the girl is cute, childfree, and into me. and i survive the process without gone mad. and, if this could workout, then live in the philippines about 10 years, do 2-3 children there. then talk if wife wants to come to europe. not before,

a: not interest in me (i was in thailand 7-8 years ago. only the hookers in bangkok bars

did show some interest. and ofcourse that doesnt count) (i didnt have tinder at the time.

and i didnt use any online services. i didnt search for a partner back then. (but maybe it doesnt change anything, if search or not. because if someone is interested, it will tell it without searcing)

b: philippines talk more english, and allso you cant online chat with some thaiwomen,

2. So, if number 1 fails, after a little try, lets say something like 6months(online chat, planning the trip, and then trip etc) which might be so, because somehow ive been cursed with my luck with women since i was 20years old, no matter what i do, then i give up.

Then i take first single mom about the same age as i am (dont need to be single mom, but like i mentioned before, cute women in here at my age who are willing to take me are single mom, no matter how hard i try something else) from tinder that i could find.

Because then there is no other love in this planet that i could get. You could say, that then it is scientifically proven fact.

 

These are my thoughts now. maybe just should take the single mom right away in my country, but, i dont know. I could try to fight again my destiny 1 more time and see where it goes...if i have the guts.
