A question for the medical experts:

If/when people are given a proven vaccine (vaccine being a strong preventative) can the vaccine also be used as an effective treatment for people who are found to be positive for the virus?

No

an infected person has his/her immune system busy trying to combat the virus/infection

therefore the immune system is unable to mount a response to the vaccine - so no immunity or benefit would be gained.
