Hi all.  I am currently working in Africa and my spouse & child are in Issan after being repatriated due to climbing COVID infections here.  I'm now applying for a COE to visit but of course all our original documents went to Thailand with the family in case they were needed to prove citizenship, for son's school enrolment etc.

So now I need to get the documents back to me by courier - any of the internationals operate up there? Or is the only option the one via the Post Office?  (Docs will be sent from Phon Phisai.)

DHL has a facility in Nong Khai.

Edit: It seems DHL or an equal is your only choice. This list from Thai Post does not show any country that they are sending mail to in Africa https://drive.google.com/file/d/1OGkBLRXkgaOuA-x2N-I2fLe0faBrUXeu/view?fbclid=IwAR13Q6-5Digh8hHtfZt35kkM0xjRJzXyjzQMXbxTLaWZNLvSKOq0kS7dCTI

I needed to send some documents to Kuala Lumpur last week. The Post Office indicated that their EMS courier service was suspended for a long list of destinations, including Malaysia (go figure...). They still accept snail mail, but that's not acceptable for important documents. Hence the only way is DHL. I had to drive 1.5 hours to Korat to drop the envelope myself at their desk in Terminal 21.

Best bet might be to set up an online account with DHL (https://www.dhltoyou.com/en/mydhl) then it might be possible for you to arrange to set up home collection / payment knowing that destination details are correctly stated.

It works fine for me in Pattaya and is cheaper than dropping off at a local agent. Your home location may be an issue, but worth a check.

I recently checked Fedex regarding a letter I needed to send to Canada Their quote was expensive ( B 1700 vs. B 1200 by EMS - Thai Post.) However, Fedex offered pick-up at my door in Surin, if you need that. In my case, I walked to the P.O., got some exercise, and saved B 500.

I recently used DHL to send some documents from Isaan to the UK, cost 1200 baht and arrived at the door in under 48 hours. Great service.

Great excellent.   Will just have to arrange a tuk-tuk and minibus trip to Nong Khai.  Will try to convince partner to make a phone call first to ensure DHL are open ????
