August 7, 20205 yr Morning all, I'm meeting a friend for lunch today in the old town area and he would prefer western food and I am seeking some inspiration of where to go lol. Last time we went to Gekko garden and that is an option for today but I wondered if there were any other recommendations from TV members on here. Thanks

August 7, 20205 yr Useful posts from the usual suspects. Stay with Gekko and take home some of the ham and mature cheddar, enjoy.
August 7, 20205 yr Author Gekko wolf fish looking the favourite at present. Had it before and tasted much better than the normal Thai fish that is served in a lot of places.

You are only allowed into the Gekko bar if you have tattoos, a shaved head , a complexion like an old leather bicycle seat and a wonky nose due to too many bar fights . Sandals, cargo shorts and a polo t-shirt are the the dress codes
August 7, 20205 yr nobody like that there last night (incl me!) when I enjoyed Beef Stroganoff- and restocked the freezer with Cumberland sausages and bacon. Maybe lunch times are different....

August 9, 20205 yr I always like the Khualek Cafe, across the road from Rimping by the Iron bridge. Perfect river setting, reasonably priced (not cheap) food. Photo taken earlier this week.

I have limited memory but can not recall such a colorful building there or even one quite like that. Diamond Hotel? Thank you.
