Where to eat lunch today ......

Recommended Posts

Morning all,

I'm meeting a friend for lunch today in the old town area and he would prefer western food and I am seeking some inspiration of where to go lol.

Last time we went to Gekko garden and that is an option for today but I wondered if there were any other recommendations from TV members on here.

Thanks

And this topic from a 13+ year member.  Two guys can’t figure out where to eat lunch!

Glad to be out of town today.

Lol yes, that's why I need inspiration! ????

Thought it might also be a light-hearted way to start the day lol.

Now where are those best burger threads.....

Gekko wolf fish looking the favourite at present. Had it before and tasted much better than the normal Thai fish that is served in a lot of places.

Useful posts from the usual suspects.

Stay with Gekko and take home some of the ham and mature cheddar, enjoy.

You read my mind, was going to get some cheddar from there regardless of where we lunch.

nobody like that there last night (incl me!) when I enjoyed Beef Stroganoff- and restocked the freezer with Cumberland sausages and bacon. Maybe lunch times are different....

La Terrasse, best to order the Dorade or Sea Bream.

Maybe best to order the Dorade pangasius or Sea Bream the special pangasius.

Absolute best restaurant in town is Why Not?  Niman soi 11.

Best for dinner though.

A girl I dated wanted to eat here...I said No..She said Why Not...I told her I already said No...she asked Why Not.....repeat as needed....we ended up eating at Who's On First....

My friend apologised, and then said to me, its pronounced "Quiche".....

I always like the Khualek Cafe, across the road from Rimping by the Iron bridge.

Perfect river setting, reasonably priced (not cheap) food.

Photo taken earlier this week.

Eaten here loads of times as it's local and never a complaint.

Sunisa's Bistro on Thapae Soi 6 is well worth a look if in the area.

When I am in town I do not get to sightsee much because my attention is on the road activity.

Please tell me if that blue-green large building is real or photo shopped.  I have limited memory but can not recall such a colorful building there or even one quite like that.  Diamond Hotel?

Thank you.
