Bungalow Roof Height

Featured Replies

Could anyone that has had a bungalow built in Thailand tell me what the height of the uprights are from floor to where they meet the roof?

My builder has suggested 3.5m. This seems very high to me and has me worried. I was thinking more like 3 or even 3.2.

If anyone could give me any info it would be greatly appreciated.

High ceilings are best if that's what your worried about.

My internal ceiling height is 3 metres..so your builder is right...and as above High Ceilings are best

Leaves you with space for insulation too. That saves big time on AC bills.

Just looking at the plans for a building we're having built now.

Ground floor ceiling height 3.96 metres.

Upper floor ceiling height 3.2 metres.

Floor to ceiling is 3 metres, highest point in the roof space is about the same, so I guess the total is around 6 metres, as others have said, the higher the better.

Our bungalow has between 3.7 and 6 metres to the ceiling in the living room, but that room is about 10 metres by 8 metres so the high ceilings work. Other smaller rooms have lower ceilings
