Matzzon
It´s many tragic things here. List below: Two lives lost. No driving school, even as people die like flies on the Thai roads. No one seems to have brain enough to make a change.
Popular Post richard_smith237
Survivable with minor injuries if both were wearing helmets ???????? Most certainly survivable if one of them wasn’t riding like a tool. 4

Most certainly survivable if one of them wasn’t riding like a tool. That sort of depends on whether there were other injuries, external head injuries aren't the only cause of death. Helmets don't protect from broken necks or internal injuries as a result of two moving objects hitting head on and suddenly coming to a dead stop from speed. Our daughter had never driven a car and got her licence in 4 days, didnt know the road rules, had never driven in traffic, took her for a drive in our car and she scared the be jesus out of me, will never let her drive it again. She didnt know how to turn corners(went past the lane to the other side of the road), approached intersection too fast and went through without looking for other cars, was unable to stay in her lane, wouldnt even be allowed to have a learners permit overseas but was given a full licence here, really does explain the high death rates 6
Gandtee
Why does anyone bother to post a comment. It's been like this for the 34 years I've lived here and nothing changes. 'The answer my friend is blowing in the wind.'

ragpicker
The "special" license requirement for motorcycles over 400cc to be introduced makes no sense (not unusual in Thailand). The special license should be required for motorcycles LESS than 400cc as all the morons here ride these smaller bikes. Yes, I know few drive here with a license anyway. The greater than 400cc rule is being introduced because the government feels if one can afford these larger bikes they can afford another useless license.
Stargeezr
For the guy who's daughter scared him, Well Dad why have you not taught your daughter the rules of driving? Yes? You were too busy or many other excuses? Geezer

IvorBiggun2
I've witnessed 2 motorcyclist crash head on as one was exiting and the other entering a petrol station. Who was in the wrong? Neither as there was no indication as to which was in or out. They just lacked common sense.
