Popular Post webfact Posted September 24, 2020 Popular Post Posted September 24, 2020 Thai police to ask Interpol for "Red Notice" on Boss: But does that mean he'll be arrested? Picture: Daily News Daily News reported that the Thai police are now at the stage of asking Interpol to issue a so called "Red Notice" for the arrest of Vorayuth Yoodiya. They said that 194 member countries will be informed that the Red Bull scion known as Boss is wanted in Thailand. But does that mean that the fugitive will actually be arrested wherever he is hiding? Not at all. Interpol's own website says: "A Red Notice is not an international arrest warrant. "A Red Notice is a request to law enforcement worldwide to locate and provisionally arrest a person pending extradition, surrender, or similar legal action. "INTERPOL cannot compel the law enforcement authorities in any country to arrest someone who is the subject of a Red Notice. "Each member country decides what legal value it gives to a Red Notice and the authority of their law enforcement officers to make arrests". Pol Col Krissada Pattanacharoen, the Royal Thai Police's deputy spokesman said at RTP HQ yesterday that the Thong Lo police had received notification from the public prosecutor about charges. Boss faces two main charges related to the September, 2012, death of a Thong Lo policeman namely reckless driving causing death and cocaine use. Immigration is now watching all borders for the billionaire fugitive. There are currently about 62,000 red notices out in the world, notes Thaivisa. It remains to be seen whether a law enforcement agency in one of Interpol's member states firstly bothers to look for him then actually decides to arrest and send him back to Thailand. The case has caused huge interest in Thailand especially this year after the authorities decided to drop charges prompting an inquiry and reinstatement of charges and investigation into police and other officials. Popular Post colinneil Posted September 24, 2020 Popular Post Posted September 24, 2020 Here we go again, what a bloody farce. Probably the same as the last 1, make serious errors on it, then no action will be taken, except withdrawing it. 32 1 6

I guess if they really do have to ask for a red notice (for public consumption) there's an actual chance he could be arrested and sent back. Better have him sneak back to Thailand of his own volition. If the red notice is issued, then he'll be safe from arrest if he's actually in Thailand. 10 1 5
Popular Post newatthis Posted September 24, 2020 Popular Post Posted September 24, 2020 We look forward to seeing it on the Interpol website; maybe, sometime next year or 2022. 3
Popular Post ezzra Posted September 24, 2020 Popular Post Posted September 24, 2020 By now, this must be the most " arrest this man" wink wink, nudge nudge, arrest warrant in Thai police history... 7 15

Popular Post PatOngo Posted September 24, 2020 Popular Post Posted September 24, 2020 One thing coming from this is the whole system is seriously flawed and they have made complete fools of themselves! 16 3
Popular Post Pib Posted September 24, 2020 Popular Post Posted September 24, 2020 Quote Immigration is now watching all borders for the billionaire fugitive. Oh wow!!!....I bet the fugitive is really scared now--NOT!!! 2 4
Popular Post Matzzon Posted September 24, 2020 Popular Post Posted September 24, 2020 These people are really professionals in making themselves look bad. I guess we all must go for something that can stand as field of expertise on the CV when everything else fails. 3 5
Popular Post Misterwhisper Posted September 24, 2020 Popular Post Posted September 24, 2020 Once Interpol receives the request, I can almost picture the guys in Geneva rolling on the floor in laughter. Inspector 1: "Look what I just got in. It's the Thai clowns again. They're requesting a Red Notice for that Red Bull heir." Inspector 2: "What?! Again?! Inspector 1: "Yup. Remember how ludicrously long it took them last time to even get the documents in order? Almost a year...." Inspector 2: "I do. And then, a couple of weeks later, they actually withdrew the just issued Red Notice -- for no apparent reason." Inspector 1: "No, there was a reason alright. It's called 'tea money'." Inspector 2: "You know... if I could I really would want to put that whole corrupt and obviously inept police force over there on Red Notice. Can we do that?" Inspector 1: "Not if you plan to spend a vacation there post-Covid." Inspector 2: "I don't." Inspector 1: "Well... go ahead then." 8 16
Popular Post Pib Posted September 24, 2020 Popular Post Posted September 24, 2020 I finally understand the Thai immigration slogan of "Good Guys In, Bad Guys Out." It means of course we let Good Guys In and of course we also let Bad Guys Out. For the Bad Guys to leave they just need to hop on their private jet or simply take a taxi to the border while we spend months to years doing the arrest paperwork shuffle....and the Interpol paperwork is especially hard since it must be submitted in duplicate....making copies is a complicated process. 7 4

P Funk Posted September 24, 2020 Posted September 24, 2020 With all the Burmese, Lao, and Cambodians regularly crossing the border, surely a multi billionaire will have great difficulty. 1

Again just delay. IMHO powerful untouchable people are still in control of this matter and he will never be apprehended or go to court let along see punishment. 2
Popular Post trainman34014 Posted September 24, 2020 Popular Post Posted September 24, 2020 Smoke and Mirrors; nothing will happen to this walking feces now or later ! 4
Kwaibill Posted September 24, 2020 Posted September 24, 2020 Other nation police forces will probably not actively "look" for him at this late date, unless they have reason to believe he is actually within their jurisdiction. If he gets stopped for jay walking and just happens to be identifiable.. 1
yellowboat Posted September 24, 2020 Posted September 24, 2020 Nothing more than just a dog and pony show. Last I read he was in the UK. Scotland Yard won't come around. They have better things to do than patronize coup leaders. 1
IamNoone88 Posted September 24, 2020 Posted September 24, 2020 Perhaps he will cut a deal and return voluntarily. Serve a partial/reduced sentence and then be as free as a bird. 2
Popular Post klauskunkel Posted September 24, 2020 Popular Post Posted September 24, 2020 What really would be funny: if Red Bull would actually be extradited to Thailand... Imagine the "authorities" twisting themselves in knots having to come up with excuses and scenarios for him not to stand trial. They probably have to rewrite the constitution just for him.... 3
mark131v Posted September 24, 2020 Posted September 24, 2020 Good policing that, very good for the crime stats too just tell everyone what you plan to do in advance and face saved all around and no need to do that pesky work I seem to remember on a sweep of Pattaya they found no evidence of prostitution proof positive this works but unfortunately for the rest of the world's policing it's patented by the buffoon's in brown...
Bender Rodriguez Posted September 24, 2020 Posted September 24, 2020 I guess he will be privately flow to a country that does not extradite, case closed, again 1
ginjag Posted September 24, 2020 Posted September 24, 2020 Tell him he will have to stay at a 5 star resort Phuket, free for 2 weeks quarantine.
Stocky Posted September 24, 2020 Posted September 24, 2020 Well they could contact local police according to the F1 schedule, he's usually there following the Red Bull team. https://www.formula1.com/en/racing/2020.html 2
skippybangkok Posted September 24, 2020 Posted September 24, 2020 A bit of a joke...... The establishment worked to make his legal issue disappear, and now they are asking for help capture the guy they have been trying to let go. Reminds when when they let Thaksin to Beijing olympics and we all knew he would disappear. In fairness, in his case its sometimes best to exile him than motivate his base with a real criminal case. Red Bull kid is not Thaksin though.

eeworldwide Posted September 24, 2020 Posted September 24, 2020 Well if I was him, I wouldn't think about returning. He'd have to do a 14 day quarantine and who wants to do that?!! 2
