I guess that my info is more first hand than you, Pattaya car wash,  salary for all staff is 14000 + tips.

People are dreaming that Khmer and Burmese will work for less.

Your comparing over priced Pattaya with the rest of Thailand. They might get more as the car wash places are not cheap. If you can inform me where in Patts you can get a FULL valet (That includes the Engine) for 200bht would be obliged.

Anywhere for less than 200 thb, you really don't know what you are talking about, so I have no interest to continue discussing with you.

Enjoy your full knowledge ❤️

Oh dear I seem to have struck a cord. Please let me inform you I do know what I'm talking about as I lived in Pattaya for over 8 years before it drove me out.

Also been back there 3 times this year. Stayed for over 2 weeks in Feb: Had the car so called valeted whilst there and the cheapest place I could find was 260bht for their valet. They didn't do the Engine or the under body. Must say though that they did do a nice job on the rest. What they did would have cost me 150bht where I live.

If anyone can inform me where you can get a FULL valet in Pattaya for a Tuna for around 200bht. Please don't hesitate to reply.

It depends.

Is your car parked outside or in a garage?  Sun will oxidize and fade your paint quite quickly.

How often are you driving it?

Are you looking for basic protection or show car shine?

Wash it with a decent car wash soap as needed and a good polish/wax combo (Meguires/Zymol/Mothers) every 3-6 months should suffice.  No need for the super expensive stuff.

If you see bird poop on your car, spritz and wipe (softly...don’t scrub) ASAP as it will eat into the paint.  Same with bug splatters on the front.

Late reply! Sorry, thanks for the info though. Generally the car is parked under shade (99%) doesn't get driven that often really, maybe 1000 KM / Month at the most, probably nearer 500. I am looking for maximum protection, but with a bit of shine.

I have been using 3M Shampoo and Wax (previously Sunlight Washing Up Liquid! - my mistake) then after drying it off, I use this 3M Seal and Wax which works great.

What I wasn't sure about was what to do after a couple of weeks or even a couple of days if it was covered in mud, I was worried that washing it again would remove the wax protection and that I would need to do the entire car all over again.

Since then however, I found some additional info from 3M that states the wax is not removed if you use a good car shampoo, and that washing it is fine with no need to apply additional wax,

Thanks for you replies!
