More Than 300 Cannabis Clinics Open Nationwide

 

 

BANGKOK, Nov 11 (TNA) – More than 300 cannabis clinics have opened nationwide since the legalization of cannabis for medical purposes in Thailand and 70 per cent of patients using it showed improvement in their symptoms, said Deputy Prime Minister and Public Health Minister, Anutin Charnvirakul.

 

The medical cannabis clinics at hospitals have provided treatment for 14,236 people, most suffering from last stage cancer and receiving palliative care.

 

The rest are patients with Parkinson’s disease, insomnia and other illnesses.

Why do people think people are going to book a vacation just to get high?  Marijuana is interesting for some people but you're not going to the amazon rain forest to try some weird psychedelic drug.  It's marijuana.  It's boring!

Jesus, been watching reefer madness recently by any chance. Anyway, my point was, its 2 years on from their original "gift of medical legalisation" and still nothing. If they are going to try and make it a money maker (mmmmm) then they should stop p!ssing about with this overpriced, who knows whats inside, tincture nonsense and do it properly.

   After Anutin got off to a good start on legalization he didn't carry on to other practical matters of production and delivery.

   Let's hope they get their act together in the not too distant future.

They are not prescribing it for insomnia,i have tried.

They told me to go see a shrink first and even then you only get CBD oil without

THC and that is what helps me sleep.

Maybe some where in the future.

I got some THC oil for insomnia and it did not help at all - quite the opposite. I basically just got high and slept worse. From what I've read, THC actually reduces REM sleep and it's only some types of weed that help you fall asleep quicker, so maybe this Thai THC oil is made from the wrong type of weed. I also used a sleep tracker app and it showed that during nights I had taken the oil, my sleep was singificantly worse quality. 

Now using L-Theanine/GABA combo instead for sleep.

Over the years i have tried all kinds of things to help me sleep,to get away from the chemicals i tried CBD oil and it really knocks me out.I sleep for 14 hours straight some times but i only use it once a week.

Two drops of the good stuff and i do not toss and turn at all any more.I even find it hard to turn over,if i do need to get up i am like a zombie but go right back to sleep after.

People who have never had insomnia can not imagine how it feels to not be able to sleep and i think you need to understand that first before you can understand how much i appreciate being able to sleep.

Curious. One person says it does nothing, another says it knocks him out. Different sources?

I take Tramadol once in awhile. Not often as I understand it can lose its effectiveness.

I have joint and neuropathy pain that make sleep difficult.

Any more experiences?

My friend registered and got CBD oil for backache. He said it doesn’t do much directly for the backache but it gives him a great night’s sleep in spite of the back pain. I am thinking about going for my shoulder pain.

 

Since he is Thai they told him him could go to a different clinic that only treats Thais at a lower price. TIT.

Its the Sativa weed that gives you energy and keeps you awake..

Its the Indica weed that sedates you and gives you couch lock....

 

I think they can both mess with your dreams and sleep patterns...

Not an expert on extraction but i am an insomniac. IMO the problem is only extracting THC and CBD and sticking it in a bottle, instead of letting people choose the strains that work for them. Cannabis has an estimated 100 cannabinoids and 200 terpenoids which must contribute to the effects in some way.

Give CBD oil a try. You are right not to use Tramadol too often. It also works like codeine as a cough suppressant and I have taken it for a cough so bad I couldn’t sleep. But it can be addictive and I found it made me feel not so good the day after.

I started using it per a friends recommendation. She was using it for her arthritis and to help sleep.  She loves it.

 

I have been using it for a month and love it.  My arthritis is better and I sleep great.  It has THC in it, but not much.  I only take it just before sleeping, so no idea if I get high or not.  I love it.

If you know that most of the medicine is made from confiscated Lao Weed and extracted with Naphta, which is nothing else than light petrol/gasoline or even worse with denatured alcohol, you won't buy or take it.

I have never tried cannabis of any kind but recently wondered if it could help with a few medical issues.

 

Interesting topics on insomnia, which I have never suffered from, I sleep like a top every night for 8 or 9 hours. However I do have REM sleep behaviour disorder, which means I can act out my dreams physically. Thankfully it is infrequent and I have been lucky not to have punched or kicked a sleeping partner, although the wall has taken a few blows over the years, as well as leaping out the bed onto the floor when dreaming of falling. Anyone else suffer from this?

 

Makes me wonder if cannabis in some form would help, or more worryingly turn me into a crazed nutter every night with wilder dreams?

 

I also have permanent neuropathy in both feet, I've gotten used to it, it's not debilitating but would be happy if it went away.

Personally, I don't ever remember dreaming when I was smoking. I do know, not high, if I manage to get a couple of hours sleep, I have all sorts of disturbing dreams. Don't know if its a good or a bad thing because they say you don't enter rem sleep with THC. Not sure about that but I can say I felt better in every way after a THC sleep.

I have scoliosis.

The oil does nothing for pain during the day.

I sometimes take at night and it gives e a good nights sleep.

It does not hurt to try the oil.

signed up for this at local hospital.  they had no CBD oil, just had a 1.7% THC oil. wanted CBD to help with sleep. paid 500 baht for 5ml bottle, [farang price], if i was Thai,  the doctor told me it would only cost 50 baht. waste of money
