Is Chiang Mai Province being locked down again? (Sun Nov 29)

Featured Replies

My wife and I are on a short tour.  We were taking a break this afternoon and while watching Thai TV she said that Chiang Mai is being locked down again due to Covid.  Does anyone have additional info on this as we care currently in Central Thailand buy headed back tomorrow.

AFAIK, no. Maybe later, if the two idiots responsible have spread the virus too far.

Unlikely Chiang Mai be locked down.

Unless you talk my wife, she say you stay home safer not go get beer.

Guessing the news was talking about this: https://forum.thaivisa.com/topic/1194411-authorities-probing-why-thai-woman-with-covid-19-was-not-quarantined/

Haven't seen/heard anything about a lockdown so far (just got in touch with a friend from there and she hasn't heard anything).

No, I am in Chiang Mai, there's no lockdown.

Just a silly woman who should have restrained herself when coming back.

Thanks.

Not currently on lock-down , but if theres a few more cases of Covid , theres a high possibility that we could  get immediate lock-down with no notice
