Popular Post Greer
I see many rather disparaging remarks about Thailand, and all the usual attacks that have become so prevalent - or perhaps I should say "expected" - but considering that up till now things have been getting better in general. Lets see... America... nope, they are really screwed... ok how about Australia... no, they suddenly have a huge spike of cases in the Sydney Northern Beaches... oh ok, then what about UK?... Ah noooo... loads more cases daily (often more PER DAY than this spike here in poor third world Thailand. So... not being a religious nut, but in this case to paraphrase "Let he who is without COVID cast the first stone!" This is not just about the exploited workers from Myanmar. This particular market is very busy with people from other markets buying their seafood and going back to their markets. It is also a perfect opportunity for Prayut to lockdown the country to quell the protests (again).

Sometimes you see cases exploding , the so called super spreaders . In Belgium , after a visit of Sinterklaas ( Santa Claus , not 100% same but whatever ) in a nursing home , within a few days had +100 infected within that nursing home of a total of 170 people staying there . Thats how fast covid ravages families , communities , ... and been doing so everywhere .

Doesn't alcohol kill the virus? I thought I read somewhere more people were carrying the old pocket flasks lately so they could take a nip now and again but not to get drunk. Not sure if there is any benefit to it. You could also pour a tad on your hands for quick cleansing.

Popular Post darksidedog
I suspect I will not be alone tomorrow morning in replenishing the alcohol stocks in the house. If it turns out they have done a great job and contained it again then my hat off to them. I am highly concerned that we won't get off as easy as we did last time though, as many who have been to the epicenter have hence gone everywhere, with their seafood. Next few days are going to be nervous times for all.
cyril sneer
The daily ‘recorded’ cases will gradually drop each day now until it hits zero like last time, then Thailand will be declared covid free again

It's really only tourists who are locked out and they weren't coming back for a long time anyway. Alcohol does kill the virus , but you cant survive with 70% alcohol in your blood . And that 70% is not i drink 70% alcohol , 4-6 promille is deadly dose . 1
lovethai123
The area should be locked down immediately. Anyone recently visited those places must be asked to come forward without shame and get themselves tested. Authorities should do a door to door survey and collect samples. But since 90% are migrant workers, so i suspect they would be blamed for this. But the big daddy sitting far away would never be blamed. You need a pair of balls to blame the CCP for starting all this. Edited December 20, 2020 by lovethai123

Metapod
a seasonal flu appearing again in winter season. thats kinda what they do. anyone surprised by this is an absolute idiot. if no one is dying, who cares? even if people are dying, as long as its similar to other years, again, who cares? this covid fiasco has destroyed my faith in humanity. never seen so much idiocy on display en masse in my lifetime. stop getting overwhelmed with panic and fear. take a deep breath. think logically. use critical thinking. look at the data. 1
