LOL, like I said, there's no end to train songs.  I've got two today and I'm not even trying.

Neil Young with Crazy Horse on Southern Pacific off of his '81 Re-ac-tor album.

I might of included the live version back then.  Not sure.  But if so it's well worth a second hearing.

A Treasure is a live album by Canadian / American musician Neil Young, released on June 14, 2011, featuring performances from his 1984-1985 U.S. tour with the International Harvesters.  The album is volume nine in Young's Archives Performance Series and the sixth to be released.

jvs, did you notice who else is on the billing?

Cuby + Blizzards doing a cover of the same early blues standard, Sugar Mama.  Off of their  Live At The Rheinhalle Düsseldorf (1968) album.  Frickin' awesome.

Holy tomolly!!  Lost track of time here.  Well, I'm one shy of a couple dozen so I may as well round it off.

Here's to the memories, jvs.

Perhaps the original Dutch psychedelic band, The Outsiders, with a live performance of Story 16 off of their eponymously titled '68 album.

with titles,

Wonderful contribution there, jvs, on so many levels.  Good fun and humour is always appreciated on this thread.

And greetings to John McVie, a mere 76 in comparison

Lovely guitar picking by Lindsey Buckingham to introduce the song.

Here's the heavenly Silver Springs from that same Warner Brothers Studios show in Burbank, CA on 23.05.97 from The Dance CD.

Percy showing his appreciation for his wife, Maureen. Sadly later they divorced.

Jimi was born on this day. To me, the excitement of his music never dies, still zaps me every time.

My sentiments as well.  You'll enjoy this, bannork, if you haven't come across it yet.  From his final gig in Germany at the isle of Fehmarn Festival, Sept. 6, '70.  Two days later and he was gone.

I remember this from my teens. My mate was a big Kevin Coyne Fan. A little bit different to the "norm".

It requires an uncommon and peculiar musical inclination to appreciate that tune, MD.  As broad and varied as my tastes are they're not expansive enough to include this one under my musical tent.  bannork turned me on to Coyne a while back and upon a closer inspection found he had a good number of worthy (to me) tunes.

Eastbourne Ladies off of the same '73 Marjory Razor Blade album.

I read the news his morning, rip Graeme Edge.

I had to go to town and this song came on the radio,

Doing some catch up here.  Didn't know about Graeme's passing.    Tribute time.

One of my favourites, The Actor, off of their '68 In Search Of The Lost Chord album.

Another tune written by Edge, Don't You Feel Small, off of their '70 A Question Of Balance LP.  While all the Moodies contribute vocally the whisper is Graeme.

Procession, in which every Moodie had a hand in penning - and it shows as there's a little of everything here, off of their '71 Every Good Boy Deserves Favour album.
