New TV reported that the only case in the second wave of infections in Prachuap Khiri Khan was now showing no symptoms and had been allowed to go home.

A meeting of Prachuap Khiri Khan senior officials bowed to pressure to allow spas, traditional massage parlors and beauty salons to reopen subject to not doing matters connected to the face.  Those offering foot massages were also allowed to reopen.

All Covid protocols must be followed.

Child development centers and preschool centers were also allowed to open, that was a nod to dairy farmers who provide milk for them.

Local journalist Kulsawek Sawekwannakorn also reported that the latest case of Covid was a woman (the 17th case in total since the pandemic began) who had been allowed to return home.

At the weekend 50 massage ladies had protested and reps had handed a letter to the Hua Hin mayor to pass on to the provincial governor calling for them to reopen as there had been no new cases of Covid for some time.

see you soon ladies ! ????

Now hold on. You recently said you are going to Hua Hin to party. NCC1701A has described the place as boring and populated by old fat women, yet he continues to live there. What secrets are you keeping that you dont want others to know? Must be something. Come on, out with it.

I don't think that will be an issue.

So once again, what is still called a covid-case (invoking the association with severe illness/death) turns out to be a 'false positive'.

Follow-up reporting on all 'cases' is direly needed to bring a sense of perspective to the severity of the situation.

Why do we almost never hear (in the regular media) about the 'covid-cases' that turned out to be either false positives due to test inaccuracy or due to remains of a previous infection (while the 'case' never showed symptoms nor discomfort).

There must be a huge gap in numbers between those that 'tested positive' and those that developed severe symptoms necessitating hospitalization.  Yet both are labelled 'covid-cases' and spike up the numbers.

Why ONLY providing the numbers of those that tested positive, and withholding the info on how many were tested and the follow-up of those that tested positive but were in fact 'false alarm'.

Great  ..off to the massage shop in Baan Khun Por yesterday ,, not open .. called the owner and she never hear anything from the government about reopening.  Total lack of communication again. So what the bars ? Soon this town will be dead also  so quiet at nights.

It should be noted that this was not an asymptomatic case - the woman in question went to Hua Hin hospital and got tested precisely because she was experiencing symptoms.

This report says that she is not now showing symptoms but as all the earlier reports on this case stated, she had symptoms at the beginning (it was what led to her being tested).

Also, since we know that only a very small minority of cases lead to severe disease or death, talking about a Covid case shouldn't necessarily invoke an association with severe disease.
