Vietnam on a par with China... hardly an attractive stance for tourism.

More like Thailand is on par with China and Vietnam.

The Chinese refer to Prayut as, "Our Man in Bangkok."   ????

Absolutely not, but they seem to set the requirements with an even hand, (although I hear some nationals get a stricter application). If it is influence the Chinese develop, many factors will be going the wrong way.

China already has influence here.  It's only a matter of time before we start to see "many factors" going the wrong way.

Thai authorities will not be able to control the Chinese, in the same way they have controlled the farang in the past.

Absolutely ....might be too late for Thailand now.......Chinese have well and truly got their feet under the table.......I am not too sure that many of those in power are not 'Chinese'.

If the Thai's thought they had a problem with "zero baht Thai companies" set up by Chinese before Covid, wait until after Covid.
