Trump ambushes South African president at White House meeting
Donald Trump has ambushed South Africa's president during a White House meeting by playing a video purportedly showing evidence of a "genocide" of white people in the African country. The US president, who was hosting leader Cyril Ramaphosa in the Oval Office, said the footage showed the graves of thousands of white farmers. After an initial friendly chat where Mr Trump complimented South African golfers in the room, a montage of videos was played as Mr Ramaphosa sat quietly and mostly expressionless. He later said: "I'd like to know where that is because this [the videos] I've never seen". Trump ambushes South African president at White House meeting -

Do you shower before going in to swimmingpool?
I did my open water dive training and certification course while I still lived in Oregon. The first part of the course was done in the local municipal swimming pool at night after it closed. I remember vividly sitting with 8 or so other students and two instructors on the bottom in the deep end. The bottom six inches of the pool were covered with this gelatinous mixture of snot, spit, piss and smears of brown material. That was in 1986. I have never been in another pool. -

Report Foreign Earnings Taxed Under New Thai Rules - But With Exceptions
Good news - let's hope it get passed! On a different note, doesn't this mean that some filings that were done recently - for income year 2024 - should be corrected/edited? I.e. if someone transferred money in 2024 - that was earned in 2024, and paid income tax on that. Or is this proposal only for 2025 and onwards? (point 2 in your table). -

Starmer announces U-turn on winter fuel payment cuts
Sir Keir Starmer has announced plans to ease cuts to winter fuel payments, in a U-turn following mounting political pressure in recent weeks. More than 10 million pensioners lost out on the payments, worth up to £300, when the pension top-up became means-tested last year. Speaking at Prime Minister's Questions, Sir Keir said ministers would change the threshold to allow "more pensioners" to qualify again. https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/articles/c93yy2x40e0o -
