Doctor Recommends Vaccine Purchase from China, Russia

 

 

BANGKOK, Feb 5 (TNA) – Thailand should not only wait for COVID-19 vaccines from the West but also buy from China and Russia, said Prof Dr Yong Poovorawan, head of the Center of Excellence in Clinical Virology at Chulalongkorn University.

 

Dr Yong wrote in his Facebook account that vaccination already showed widespread effects in the countries where many people were inoculated. In Britain and the United States where so many people were receiving vaccines, daily new COVID-19 cases noticeably dropped from their levels during the New Year, he said.

The final word is still out on the Chinese vaccines but the Russian Sputnik-V vaccine has been shown to be right up there with the Moderna and Pfizer vaccines, despite using an older vaccine technology. Effectiveness was above 90% and serious Covid disease was basically zero. The main problem being the Russians don't have a lot of production capacity to crank out large volumes of the vaccine. 

 

A peer-reviewed article in The Lancet shows the vaccine has an impressive 91.6 percent efficacy rate against the virus and is completely protective against severe cases of Covid-19.

Don't take Russian vaccine. I guess it works but if even one Thai dies after that, all of Thailand will blame all the Russians. I am still going to travel to Thailand in the future ????

My own feelings, and the similar findings of many reports available online, are that a vaccine is completely unnecessary. Why have the population been subjected to a concerted campaign designed to make everyone lose all faith in one's immune system ? and why is Big Pharma running the world all of a sudden ? Very sad ????
