Three metal platers were soon caught by the Kabinburi police for using cutting equipment to steal 700,000 baht from an SCB ATM by a local fresh food market in Prachinburi province last Thursday night.

Daily News reported that they hadn't appeared to be concerned that there were 20 CCTV cameras in the area.

Somneuk, the mastermind of the operation and his employee Thanajit were arrested in a mall in Lampang.

Another employee Nopparat made the mistake of going back to his hometown in Nakhon Sawan where he was nabbed.

All the proceeds were recovered and the police did a reconstruction to wrap up the case yesterday.

The suspects admitted the crime and were charged with aggravated theft at night using a conveyance.

A pick-up had been parked in the area for an hour.

Now the cops are looking into whether the gang have committed other such crimes.

Dummy's .. you just lasso the ATM attach the strap to the back of you're pickup then drive off dragging it behind you to a safe place before divv'ying up ..

Brits seem to find the opening bit a trifle difficult. Even after 3 attempts......

We know it's inbred - same as homing pigeons.

1hour before anybody noticed? Danger Men at work! Don't these machines have alarms silent or otherwise?

If it was silent, no one would have heard it.

Sorry, now after that little joke:

Even if they did have a silent alarm, perhaps the thieves cut the external line beforehand - assuming it might use that same connection?

Or if they were more organised, they could have deliberately set the alarm off a few times in the previous days, to give the control room the impression it was 'known to be faulty' and therefore ignored it during the robbery attempt.

Or maybe I just have a fertile imagination.

A byproduct financial squeeze from Covid enhanced by the lack or tourist dollars for the ladies to support the sick buffalos and young boyfriends in the province.
