Wonder what they think is going to be in all the buildings then? Can only support so many restaurants, t shirt shops, and foot massage places, and the rest of Pattaya is chocka with them.

Just leave them alone and they will turn to rubble and dust by themselves.......

While I'd prefer W S to remain as it is, if they had to remake it to a family friendly place, they could look at how Singapore converted Bugis Street to an outdoor restaurant street. In the 70s Bugis was a famous ladyboy hangout and an all night party zone. When they eliminated fun from Singapore, the ladyboys were banished, but it's reinvented itself.

BTW, the original version of W S was a beer garden type street, with tables set up in the road. That was in the good old days before a single police volunteer thought to drive around "keeping the  peace". I miss those days.

I think you are going to see the beach side completely gutted and just made a walking area.

The other side I am sure will attract many businesses other than the normal bar restaurant junk crowd.

I do think though that some of the bars/restaurants will be able to lead a double life.

Imagine what it would be like to have a nice restaurant (i mean classy) on the board walk for couples to attend and have a nice meal looking out over the water.

Demolish them and build huge monstrosity beachfront hotels/condos (without upgrading city infrastructure).
