Why blank out the number plate in the video, name & shame them, or would that leave someone open to the archaic stoneage defamation laws here? -

Thai gov. to tax (remitted) income from abroad for tax residents starting 2024 - Part II
The interesting thing for me being from the US is that there is nothing on the current form to show any deduction if all funds are derived from Social Security and/or another US pension. Yes, I know we're still waiting for guidance . . . - Will we just put zero on the form if our funds are derived from Social Security and other pensions? (No deduction line on the current form.) - Will we file, have to pay any tax due and then have to file for a tax rebate? - What documentation will be required to show that all funds are from pensions? (I would guess the 1099s, but you never know.) - If all of the funds brought into Thailand are via ATM from a foreign bank account and never deposited into a Thai bank, what documentation will be required? So many questions that may continue to go unanswered. Watching and waiting. -

Pink I.D Card & Yellow Book
Got mine yesterday. In my Amphur the requirement was to be married (Amphur Si Bun Rueang, Province Nong Bua Lamphu). Married a month ago requirements were to provide my marriage certificate, passport, translations from the British Embassy of my passport and a copy of the affidavit to say I could legally marry ( why as I am already married?). Amphur then gave me a form which I had to take to my local Immigration office. On this form were various questions which Immigration needed to answer and then send back to my Amphur. No idea what was being asked. Took Immigration about 2 weeks to do this documentation and get it to my Amphur (no monetary charge for this). Amphur then contacted me and all was completed yesterday. As others have said in some Amphurs there is no requirement to even be married. I would also add that it is likely some Amphurs would require a lot more documentation while others less after all this is Thailand. -

Fire Breaks Out in Samut Prakan Rental Building: Elderly & Bedridden Residents Evacuated
Police officers from the Samrong Nuea Police Station were alerted at approximately 22.20 on October 15, to a fire at a rental building in Soi Dan Samrong 20, Samrong Nuea Subdistrict, Mueang District, Samut Prakan. Several residents were reported to have suffered from smoke inhalation, prompting an immediate response from firefighters, rescue teams, and paramedics from Samut Prakan Hospital. The fire occurred in a 5-story building with around 300 rental rooms. Thick smoke was seen billowing from the building, and rescue teams, assisted by local residents, quickly worked to evacuate the elderly and bedridden residents. Initial reports confirmed that 27 individuals were affected by smoke inhalation. First aid was provided on-site, and five of the more seriously affected victims were transported to the hospital for further treatment. Firefighters discovered that the fire originated in a room on the second floor. The blaze was quickly brought under control with water hose-lines. However, the room where the fire started was completely destroyed, and smoke had spread throughout the building. Firefighters used positive pressure fans to ventilate the structure and clear the remaining smoke. According to a neighbour living next to the room where the fire started, they heard noises and discovered flames in an unoccupied room. Smoke quickly filled the neighbouring units. Another resident on the second floor recalled hearing someone shouting about the fire, and when she opened her door, the hallway was already filled with smoke. Mr. Pichai Warin, a 31-year-old resident, attempted to use a fire extinguisher to combat the blaze but was overwhelmed by the heavy smoke. Along with a group of fellow tenants, he tried to extinguish the fire, but it quickly became too intense, forcing them to retreat and wait for the firefighters. Local village headman, Mr. Thongchai Tianbang, confirmed that the fire was contained to the second floor, with no deaths reported. Most residents affected by smoke inhalation received oxygen treatment at the scene. The cause of the fire is under investigation, with initial suspicions pointing to an electrical short circuit. Ms. Chitramas Chongjit, 29, the tenant of the room where the fire started, stated that she had left a fan running for her cat while she was away. She suspects that an electrical fault may have caused the fire, as the building and its electrical systems are quite old. Authorities have taken initial photos and recorded statements at the scene. A full investigation will follow to determine the exact cause of the fire and ensure appropriate legal actions are taken. Pictures from responders. -- 2024-10-16 -

Trumps Misinformation and Conspiracy Theories Fuel Threats Against FEMA in North Carolina
You've said it yourself. Trump DID NOT say inject bleach but "to look into it". Two very different things. "Bryan said that his team had done some experiments that found that sun exposure and disinfectants, cleaning agents like bleach, could kill COVID-19 on surfaces and in the air. He eventually steps aside and says, you know, this concludes my research, we have some good stuff to go on. Then, Trump takes the mic and sort of riffs. He's looking back and forth at reporters, and then Bryan, who's sitting off to the side. And Trump says, speaking to reporters, you know, a question that a lot of you are probably thinking is, what if we hit the body — this is his words — with a tremendous ultraviolet or very powerful light — and I'm sort of paraphrasing here for the sake of clarity. And then he turns to Bryan and says, I think you said that hasn't been checked, but you're going to test it, which you can do either through the skin or some other way, and I think you said you're gonna test that. Sounds interesting, right? And he goes on, he says, and I see the disinfectant where it knocks it out in one minute. Is there a way we could do something like that by injection inside or almost a cleaning because you can see, it gets in the lungs — he's referring to the virus now — it does a tremendous number on the lungs, and I think it'd be interesting to check that. So he’s sort of rambling here and these comments created confusion. Almost immediately after that, a reporter, who was sitting in this press briefing room asked him, did you just say you’re testing injections? And Bryan came back to the microphone and said no, no, that's not what we tested in our lab. And Trump also clarified, he said well, that's not what I meant, it wouldn't be through injections, it would be cleaning and sterilization of an area. And so it appeared that they shut it down and clarified what they meant just moments later, but the press had already taken off with these comments that Trump made." https://www.wfae.org/politics/2024-04-03/fact-check-did-trump-once-tell-americans-to-inject-bleach-to-fight-covid-19 Unfortunately you ask for "a link from a reputable news source" aka the legacy media the purveyors of the UN/big pharma/CDC agenda. -

Car Cuts Off Ambulance Twice While Transporting Patient from Khon Kaen to Chonburi
I've seen this behavior on several occasions. People just don't know the rules of the road or as some have said...don't give damn. It was very frustrating to watch in real time. Definately should have his license suspended and perhaps made to foot the hospital & transport fees. Plus an idiot fine. -

Pattaya Official Seeks Justice in Sea Urination Row
That’s not true. I can think of more than 10 public beaches that don’t have bathrooms without even trying. Also many that do can be a half kilometer walk with no signage. Maybe you meant to say beaches in Pattaya all have them? -

A Driver impeding an ambulance should be taken very seriously. Authorities should use the license plate to identify the driver and vehicle. The driver should be arrested and the vehicle impounded. A punishment suitable for such a crime would be a few years in jail, forfeiture of the vehicle, and a ten-year suspension of the driver's license with retraining to learn to drive. Such a punishment would send a clear message to others about the importance of yielding to emergency vehicles. If the driver could prove it wasn't them then whoever was driving receives the punishment, however, the vehicle is still forfeited. Easy peasy lemon squeezy.- 1
