They say you just select English when setting up Win10, but that might just be to get me to buy. I thought it meant only a single language can be used, ie can't switch between English and Thai.
giddyup Posted February 25, 2021 Author Posted February 25, 2021 Re single language. "Thank you for posting the query in Microsoft Community. I do understand your concern, however I suggest you to try the below steps and change the language. Go to settings Time & Language Region & Language Add a language. Select your desired language. That can be UK-English or US-English. Make it default by clicking on it and choosing "set as default". Go to options and download language pack". 1
ignis Posted February 25, 2021 Posted February 25, 2021 On another Post this month https://forum.thaivisa.com/topic/1146631-single-language-windows-10-laptops-in-los/ So looks like if you install in English then you will always have English....... No idea if the Thai to English Translation would work, myself you it a lot....
giddyup Posted February 25, 2021 Author Posted February 25, 2021 It seems it allows you to select English during set up. However I think I can improve on the specs for little extra money. A 512 gb SSD and a 1TB HDD for starters.
giddyup Posted February 25, 2021 Author Posted February 25, 2021 Is it really any cheaper buying components, ie tower an monitor than buying an AIO with the same specs? Putting aside that it's usually easier to access and upgrade a tower.
stubuzz Posted February 25, 2021 Posted February 25, 2021 Click the link and build your own PC. It show the prices. https://www.advice.co.th/pc/

Looking at some of those components I can't see how it could work out cheaper, especially if you have to pay someone to build it for you.

I can't be bothered going through the whole price list, but I can buy an AIO with a Ryzen 3, 256 SDD, and a 1TB HDD and that comes with a HD monitor, price around 20,000 baht, with a 3 year on site warranty. How much can you save if you have a shop build it for you? I'd be happy to do it that way if there were decent savings involved.

I have a stack of 1TB WD Green drives that I'm giving away for free, and nobody wants them... Go for 2TB at least. Data always likes to grow.
