Thailand’s latest official population is 66,186,727 with more women than men

Thailand’s population, as of December 31st 2020, is 66,186,727, according to the Central Registrar Office’s latest census, announced in the Royal Gazette on March 10th.

There are 33,353.816 Thai women and 31,874,308 Thai men. Of 958,607 non-Thais, 501,224 are male and 457,383 female.

Bangkok has the largest population out of 77 provinces with 5,588,222 people, divided into 2,570,872 men and 2,917,004 women, with 100,346 non-Thais.

There's a very big discrepancy in these stats and those published at Worldometer:

"The current population of Thailand is 69,919,538 as of Monday, March 8, 2021, based on Worldometer elaboration of the latest United Nations data. Thailand 2020 population is estimated at 69,799,978 people at mid year according to UN data."

Why is that I wonder?

Could it be that minority groups and migrant workers have been left out of the reckoning?

Or have more expats left than we thought? ????

Surely not enormous numbers of unreported covid deaths.

Seriously, I'd be interested to know the reasons. Anyone?

i had better get going. 

wikipedia says some 9.5mln bangkokians, based on estimates.

With another 5mln in neighbouring provinces.

With covid situation numbers are probably lower, because of unemployment workers are going back to villages to do farming

But fluctuates daily inline with road deaths, and if NCC's been active.

How many young males kill themselves on bikes every day , it must make a difference .

EG. How many 18 yo males die compared to 18 yo females each day ?

After my accident settlement, I flew to Thailand. In a matter of a few days, Thai women flocked to my side - showering me with unconditional love. Curiously, everyone of them have sick relatives in need of expensive medical treatment.????

And what percentage have been vaccinated? ????

My wife has a nasty Rubella vaccination scar and Ive seen it on other ladies... I suspect many have been vaccinated.
