Clearly BIG Joke knows too much of the goings on in high places, so a position has been created just for him, basically to keep him sweet, and his mouth shut.

  • now we are going to see  some action! go Big Joke.

wondering if he will drop this now:

He has sued the PM Prauth Chan-ocha for wrongful transfer

They had to reinstate him because of the lawsuit, hoping it will go away as he has a solid chance of winning and the PM can't have that now can he ?

Personally, I hope he continues with the case, but that would make him rich with lots of enemies and his career would eventually go out the door IMO.

I agree with you 100%, and the charades played with the position they made for him is just one that makes me laugh.

Good, just in time to get the Scamers with the Japanese's 30 Million, from the Investment Scam ! ... and hopefully a few more of those other <Deleted>

I will be interested to hear his first announcement - you never know - might be something quite profound!

Sorry to say Colin, but I don't agree with you. There is more to this manoeuvring of Big Joke than meets the eye.

You or Colin may be right - but it is Colin that will win the approval ratings here with his usual accuracy of hitting nails on heads!

I prefer Big Joke to go back into immigration.

After he became the head of immigration, CM immigration suddenly became friendly and more efficient.

Now, it's back to being unfriendly, chaotic and maybe corrupt.

The simple residence cert needs a ridiculous 1 month to obtain and I see the residence cert girl there chatting all the time.

I see the counter staff yelling at foreigners sometimes.

Well, enlighten us.

This is the guy who screwed up whereby the Consuls gave you a letter confirming your monthly income which was very simple but no more.
I wouldn’t trust this guy as far as I could throw him.

And exactly what problem did he cause for you previously that might now worsen?

I like the fella. Hope he does well.

Thailand needs someone with balls to try to sort out this funny system they have going here. I will give him the benefit of the doubt.

Who knows, it may lead to different snouts at the trough.

Then again TiT.

Please explain what part BJ played in the Consuls not supplying you a letter confirming your income...

Well if he can start by paying Officers a decent wage, free uniform etc. Then he can look into stopping the bribes. If not the brown envelopes will keep appearing  (or should I say for the latter, not)  But then its Thailand. But to be fair they not the only country in the world where this happens. In the old days I use to call it honest corruption, Trouble now is they all have got  greedy.  Went from 100Bht fine now they want 1000Bht plus.

The most controversial and recognizable policeman in Thailand is back at the RTP.

like him or loathe him, he certainly started to move Thailand in the right direction regarding corruption within the system.

The fact he sued the PM for wrongful transfer suggests he had done nothing wrong except upset the wrong people in power. (i believe the shooting of his car is a testimony to that)

His rise to power is somewhat irrelevant when you consider that was the natural form of advancement at the time. What is relevant is that  he attempted to stop that same form of corruption once in that position.

There will always be many conspiracy theories regarding his actions but he never shied away from declaring the abundance of corruption in the system and thus paid the price.

Start by making people go to church on the Sabbath and Stop eating unclean foods suck as pork and shrimp, killing their brains. ???????????????????? Then they will see the true light to reform.

the full article was available free for a few days. One of the last sentences did mention his name in context of elephant tickets

You can't help but to appreciate the PM's sense of humor in this case. He gave him the most impossible task of all, police reform in Thailand.

He will be in charge of strategies associated with developing police reform.

Ohhh dear, back to treading on toes again.... how long will he last this time before upsetting someone?

Especially if he's tasked with how to get the gambling syndicates under control.

Unless in his "reforming the RTB" he treads on the wrong toes again by cutting off or high-lightening questionable revenue streams, he will be in-active again.

He was there, he made life harder for ex-pats.... remember.

Did he, those here legitimately didn't seem to have any problems.

What sort of action? Collecting tea money? What about getting Dui drivers off the road permanently, parents of underage motorcyclists prosecuted etc, etc?
