I've edited the topic title to give you a chance of getting sensible responses.

If you don't like HP or Daddies perhaps you could let us know what you DO like, someone may have come across something available that has similar flavours.

Lol - I was going to suggest Siamburi's as well. I'm not sure (as I never buy it) but I think they may have Brown Sauce in other bottles (around where the HP sauce is stocked) ?

I was also going to recommend checking Siam Expat Foods on soi Siam Country Club. Small shop but stocks a lot of "UK" type stuff. They have a photo on their facebook page showing a bottle of brown sauce but I've no idea how old the pic is or if they still have any.

Brown steak sauce......

Plenty of alternatives on the shelves, but anywhere doing 'Full  English" is by a law created by Henry VIII in 1544 required to serve HP.....(Houses of Parliament).

Thanks for that update. Had seen that more hot cross buns were to be available today as per their facebook page. Nueng's Pies had them in stock a couple of weeks back - they were great - so have been looking out for more from any local source.

Am on my way.........

Crikey! They only used to be one a penny.

I think the buns are gone. I glanced at the rack when I was there 20 minutes ago and didn't see any.

And no "Brown Sauce" of any kind either.

Lots of other stuff though and I was able to get my "fix" of Maynards Allsorts so that should keep me calm and complacent for another month (and add another kilo to the waistline no doubt) !

I hope you are being sarcastic or funny because HP sauce was invented in 1899

Exactly because she told him a bit of brown would be good for his ailments

HP, A1, Lee & Perrins.

(Beggars can't be chosers after all !)

Or do it the hard way:

An advantage to making your own would be the ability to adjust the quantities to get a flavour you like, instead of the generic flavour that comes with a generic, commercial recipe (i.e. the stuff in the bottles).

I'd suggest stockpiling some bottles ahead of time to store the mix in and keep in mind that it won't last long in the fridge (as it would be like any other "opened" bottle of sauce and would go bad in a couple of months).
So you wouldn't want to get crazy with making large batches of the stuff.

Far as I know Fountain only made BBQ in the "brown" category. I wish I could get it in NZ as better than what is available locally.

There's always A1 sauce. Have seen this occasionally at Villa Market stores.

Yes, and to be found in other places.

Dont know if you can get Chef Brown Sauce. I think it's from Ireland.

When I go to Ireland, I take HP brown source over to Ireland and bring back chef brown sauce to England for my friends ????
